It was a long time coming but in August I finally met up with my daughter and grandchildren, who live in Qatar.

Athens
We flew in and arrived around the same time, catching sight of each other at baggage reclaim.

The adventure began with exploring the wonders that Athens holds. The children were fascinated.

Poros
A short SeaCat journey from Piraeus. Beautiful, sedate island. Our hotel fronted the sea, which was calm, clean, warm and blue. We spent the next week splashing around.

Vouliagmeni
An upmarket resort just 30 minutes drive from Athens. Great atmosphere and plenty of bars and restaurants. Had lunch at the Four Seasons one day. What a stunning property. True luxury in an idyllic setting.

We will remember this reunion forever. Truly magical in every way.
