It’s been a while coming, but this lovely weather was worth the wait!

Dogs are always welcome at Home Farm Scarborough and we know they love a good run around on the beach.

Between May 1st and September 30th dogs are restricted within the signposted areas of North Bay and South Bay as well as Filey,Whitby West Cliff and Sandsend beaches.

A detailed map of where they are permitted can be found on the website.

And of course they can run around the large garden at Home Farm with no restrictions at all! 🐾😁🐾

As a parent of an autistic child on holiday we need to know the environment they are in is safe and non judgemental and we need to also relax.

Let’s start the week in a positive note…Spring is coming!

The snowdrops and daffodil shoots are out in the Home Farm garden bringing the promise or lighter and longer days.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day so we took a walk to sit with Fred and look out to sea and appreciate our freedom.

This magnificent sculpture, “Freddie Gilroy and the Belsen Stragglers” looks out to Scarborough North Bay and was commissioned as a commemoration to Fred Gilroy who was part of the British 11th Armoured Division who liberated the Bergen Belsen concentration camp.

We can only imagine the horrors he witnessed and take time today to remember.
