Walt Disney World announces that it plans to reopen the theme parks and Disney Springs on Friday October 11th following Hurricane Milton.

"We’re grateful Walt Disney World Resort weathered the storm, and we are currently assessing the impacts to our property to prepare for reopening the theme parks, Disney Springs and possibly other areas on Friday, October 11. Our hearts are with our fellow Floridians who were impacted by this storm."

Florida update! After a very wild night we can report, we are all good here! Lots of rain and Wind, fortunately our where we are staying in emerald island didnt get any damage so all good (some other homes have a few screens out of their pool cages) but all in all we were very lucky as the storm had weakened by the time it arrived over us. One home lost power but now restored.
Lots of blown off vegetation around but communities are pulling together to clean up.
Sun is just trying to appear and the forecast for the weekend and next week looks good! hopefully we can start our "holiday" soon, once we have made sure all our homes are ready for guest arrivals in the next few days.
Thank you to our current guests for helping us to keep the homes safe.
