This is an exciting month for Parkside Payroll. Just one year after moving to the Hope Centre and after weeks of planning we are expanding! The office on the other side of our filing room has become vacant (having been attached some years ago) so we are opening up the doorway and constructing lots more shelves and will be able to use it as a staff room/meeting room/quiet room. This will certainly allow us plenty of growing room.
Not only that, but Saphy, who has worked full-time in the office since February, has now relocated to Liverpool to continue her work in conservation. However, making the full use of modern technology she will still be working for us 3 days per week, but remotely! She remains our website and IT expert, but will still regularly be working on payrolls and all to do with Managed Accounts.
We have additional email addresses now too! We encourage you to use [email protected] for timesheets and invoices and general enquiries.

After weeks of aggravation the printer issues look to be solved. If anyone needs a replacement P60 or payslip please let us know and after we've finished all the payrolls/year ends we can do that.

We are having some very annoying printing issues at the moment -everything is getting dark blotches down the outer edges. We are working hard to try and resolve this, having changed and cleaned all possible parts. As it is year end and such a busy time we can't afford to be without the printer. Please bear with us while we sort this. Thank you. If any printer wizards out there know a solution please let us know!

Wages increase: People are starting to receive letters about the 9.79% PA wage increase. We know about this and will apply to the April payroll. No matter what your PA rate is, we will do the maths and apply the increase!

Contribution Letters​
Every new tax year (April) there is an uplift for care providers' fees and PA wages, which means personal contribution amounts will change. When you receive your letter, please forward it on to us (email or WhatsApp is fine!)

Please be aware that the year end and payroll processing coincides with two Easter bank holidays, send in your timesheets with plenty of time (two working days) to ensure payment!

Please note that we are CLOSED on 29TH MARCH (GOOD FRIDAY) and the 1ST APRIL (EASTER MONDAY).

It's that time of year again, new tax codes dropping through the door by the sackful! If you are a payroll client and receive new tax codes for you PAs please forward to us ASAP to add to our workload! The photo shows 1 day's post!

A couple of our families have received phonecalls saying they owe money to DWP/HMRC and will be fined if they don't take action and telling them to press button 1. These have come from mobile numbers and are a scam. If you receive anything like this please do the same as the earlier families and contact us so we can check the number for you. Do not worry alone!

Many people have been receiving HMRC letters in the last couple of weeks, many of which are incorrect, so please do not worry! Send them in to us and we will ensure it is sorted 🙂

We are so grateful to our dedicated staff. Whilst Dan has been off with Covid, despite being ill herself, Katie and temping Saphy have kept on top of all the payrolls even with the extra jobs added to enable Debi to finish the audit responses and Lois has kept on top of the filing and post for us. More lovely news from the weekend..... a dedicated team of carers for one of our young people received a Highly Commended award, coming 4th in the Radio Sheffield Make a Difference Awards. Well Deserved. And his mum was kind enough to add this... "a fabulous recognition of the dedication my PAs put in. This is also made possible by the Parkside Payroll team and their efficiency and approachability, Well done guys."

We are absolutely delighted at Parkside that against all odds Howard and Lorna Rainey made it to Leeds where Howard was inducted into the British Boxing Hall of Fame. It looks like they enjoyed every minute of the evening. CONGRATULATIONS.

We have just been told by SCC that one of the organisations on the Money Management preferred provider list not only has been immediately been removed from the list but also all its families will be transferred to other providers over the next few months. We have let them know that we have capacity to pick up more families. If you or friends of yours are affected by this closure please know that if you do choose to transfer to us that we will do our best to make the transfer as painless as possible. We understand that this will be a very worrying time for you but we are here to help. This is not intended to be a post touting for business but to reassure anxious families that we (and others) are here to help.

Delighted to have spotted a post in our local PA support group, which we have cropped to make one photo. It has made us very happy and grateful to all families on there. As a result we have welcomed the original poster to our books and thanks to our Katie for doing a great job.
