Included as part of all our Iceland city breaks is a spectacular Northern Lights tour, so this is your chance to tick them off your bucket list. The science bit? This famous phenomenon happens when charged particles from the sun meet the earth’s atmosphere, resulting in kaleidoscopic lights dancing across the night sky. It’s the most magical and mysterious show in the world!

The tour itinerary
The location you’ll visit to see the Northern Lights may vary day to day, depending on weather conditions. So our local experts will take you out to where you’ll have the best chance of spotting this incredible natural sight.

What you need to know
The tour starts at 21:00 and will last approximately three to four hours. You’ll go on the night when you’ll have the best chance of witnessing this natural wonder, but the Northern Lights’ size, colour and visibility can’t be guaranteed. And please wear warm clothing for the tour.
