I saw someone else had posted this after a comment I had in the week about someone being able to go abroad for my prices. I thought I'd share this with my followers. This is also to stop you from being scammed. As I have said to a few people who have been interested in booking, I'd happily give my full name and pitch number to them to clarify I am an owner of Coastfields Holiday Village.

Please remember this is copied from someone else's working out, this is not mine.

ALWAYS BE WARY OF CHEAP HOLIDAYS.
Time and time again we see people book a cheap holiday only to then come on here and say they have been scammed. Let me show you how much it costs to run a basic caravan for one week. And bear in mind this is based on FULL OCCUPANCY over 9 months. Some sites are only open for 9 months.
Weekly outgoings based on an older 2007 caravan in Ingoldmells.
TOTAL £4,965 = £137.92 per week at FULL OCCUPANCY BEFORE cleaning, bedding, maintenance, damage, and supplies.
4,000 Rent (some are a lot more)
150 Insurance
35 Gas test
380 Gas usage (£95 a bottle)
150 Electric tests (every 3 years)
175 Electric usage
75 Drain down
You then have to add on the following if you don't do it yourself.
30 Cleaning
30 Bedding
Just one clean a week works out at £1,080 a season
Just one lot of bedding works out at £1,080 a season
You then have to add the following
Damages – new bedding, protectors, breakages including blocked sinks, drainage, toilet seats, replacement light bulbs, toilet rolls, cleaning stuff, window cleaning, caravan and veranda cleaning, planting/pots, lights and much, much more.
This doesn't take into consideration the price someone paid to buy a caravan which would need to be added on to pay either themselves back or pay the finance.
So when someone says they can offer you a caravan for a cheap price you need to ask yourself why are they running their 'business' at a loss?
Don't fall for the scams.
The old saying 'You get what you pay for' is 100% true!
