Nantes - A great city break destination!

In the city of Nantes, France, people can see a huge serpent rising from the sea near the Loire estuary. Officially named Serpent d’océan, this sculpture is a massive work, measuring 130 meters in length. It was completed in 2012 by Huang Yong Ping, a Chinese-born French artist. It spreads out over the foreshore area: the serpent's tail is located at the low tide limit, its head at the high tide limit. The sculpture is therefore covered and uncovered at each tide: at low tide it is possible to walk around it, but only the head and the top of the vertebrae stick out at high tide. It is intended to be gradually invaded by vegetation and marine fauna.

The lovely Ruth has just returned from Cyprus to visit the stunning hotel Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort. Ruth has left a review of her experience of this 5-star luxury hotel and resort.

"From the minute you arrive you are welcomed and looked after by friendly and professional staff. The hotel has its own private beach and from here you can book fishing trips, scuba diving and arrange a private yacht to take you on a sunset cruise with dinner.

A ten-minute walk along the coast takes you to a quiet sunbathing area, with sunbeds set amongst the olive groves.

There is an olympic sized outdoor pool and a separate children’s pool, the spa facilities are amazing along with a heated indoor pool. Every age is catered for, there is a children’s club and outdoor cinema , 2 football pitches, volleyball, tennis courts and paddle tennis, table tennis, and a games lounge with gaming PCs with a variety of games.

The food is delicious, top class food and service in any of the selection of restaurants all of which offer outdoor dining, even at breakfast, with a wide choice of meats and fresh local fish. You will be spoiled for choice no matter which restaurant you choose. The décor and furnishings are beautiful . The rooms all have sea views and offers complete privacy on your terrace.

A holiday at Cap St Georges is simply out of this world. It is faultless in everyway."
