After four days exploring Edinburgh, Fiona said goodbye to the lovely Ordinary Elephant gang. Onwards they head north to the Scottish Highlands with the charming Gail. The adventure is just beginning, but Edinburgh (and Fiona) were sad to let them go! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⛰️🎶

Tim says about BROKEN TRUTH, “We as a society should have dismissed Trump after his loss, and certainly after the January 6th storming of the Capitol. We should have arrested him, and dismantled the framework that enabled him. But we didn’t, and he’s still out there, telling outright lies and running for another term. We must speak up. We must face this deep tear in the fabric of our society, not bury our heads in the sand. We must fight back. We must not let our country descend into this dystopian madness. We need to wield the songwriting sword with a fervent intent these days. For 9 years we’ve lived with sorrow – our will has been tested and our hearts have been broken. Let’s turn the tide and wield Pete Seeger’s Hammer. Let’s make America a good place, a compassionate place which can be called a beacon for truth and hope again. First day at the Sherman Celtic Festival and Highland Games near Dallas, Texas! We’ve had lots of people come by the booth asking about our unique tours and no doubt to catch a peek of my one true love in his kilt 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 At the end of the day one lucky festival goer won the top prize in the raffle- two free seats on one of tours next season 😲 Congratulations Eve! 🥳 if you’re in the area be sure to come by today, festival runs 10am -6pm and it’s the last day!

Thursday’s 📆 Thoughts 💭 and Thanks 🙏🏼

Hello everyone!

We have some exciting news to share today 🤗 Our 2025 dates are now up and ready to book! We've received lots of inquiries into this, so wanted to be sure to let you know as soon as it was up. I'll be doing a separate post with the link, so be sure to check it out ✔️✔️

Also, we have a special update and thanks for our new partner at Allanwater Brewhouse! We have teamed up to offer an even more special experience for our farewell concerts. Some concerts will still be at the barn (if you know, you know), but the majority will now be at 🍻 Allanwater Brewhouse 🍻 in Bridge of Allan. We'll still provide catering from the delicious and talented Michael R More Quality Butcher & Caterer, and will be treated to the award winning ales and ciders that Allanwater Brewhouse brews.. well in-house.

Speaking of Michael R More Quality Butcher & Caterer, we just want to give them a shout out 📢 and thanks 🙌 for being our partner for the last couple of seasons and always going above and beyond with their catering. We get praise from our passengers about the mouth-watering meals 🍗🍖🥩 you cook for us. We look forward to all the meals we have together.

I don't want to give too much away, but they might include places that are still in the UK, but out of the country 🤔 If you can figure that riddle out - let us know what you think!

Three chances to Tour Scotland with a MacRae this year ! Okay, so on paper, we're Grimm's... but, we're mostly Scottish. Son Jackson, red-bearded and 6' 5", will Lead a BEYOND THE TARTAN Scotland Folk Tours May 21-31. Jackson plays guitar, mando, banjo and more, and I wish I could catch him playing along with our wonderful Scottish musicians en route ! Or join me on BEYOND THE BORDERS Scotland Folk Tours , August 5-15. My red beard isn't red anymore, and I was never 6'5", but I promise you we'll have a grand time !
