Celebrate Trentham Estate's 20th anniversary with their free* entry Emergency Services Community Day with Dougie Mac on Saturday 18th May!

This special event is a free* entry ticketed event and will run from 10am to 5pm and will be held within the Gardens! Working with emergency services and local charity Dougie Mac, Trentham’s Community Day aims to celebrate and give thanks to emergency services while also raising funds for much-loved local charity Dougie Mac.

The day will be packed with exciting activities suitable for all ages. Live entertainment will run throughout the day, featuring live music, dance performances, and demonstrations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see Bobie the remote-control police car, sit in a real police vehicle and fire engine, and meet various emergency service mascots. Fairground rides will be available for children and families in the event field at an additional cost, alongside boat and train rides that offer unique ways to explore Trentham!

The free* entry tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 10th May, with an exclusive pre-sale from 10am on Thursday 9th May for Trentham Members. Tickets will be available from Trentham’s website, and in person at Trentham’s Visitor Centre. Please note pre-booking is essential and a *£1 booking fee will apply per booking (70p of this £1 booking fee will be donated to Dougie Mac).

🎨 A visual arts collective are set to stage a month-long takeover of the Goods Yard neighbourhood in Stoke-on-Trent, celebrating the transformation underway in the city. 🖌️

🚦 Named ‘Red Amber Green: Transporting the City’, the takeover will run from Friday 29 March 2024 and feature newly commissioned work from 10 artists with links to the city alongside selected work from three Staffordshire University graduates.

☀️ Trentham’s annual Spring Bulb Festival showcases over a MILLION bulbs that are planted in the lead up to spring. ☀️🌼🌻🌹🌷☀️

☀️ Daffodils have begun to bloom and dominate the gardens over March. April will bring the Italian Gardens alive with a display of tulips that will fill the air with the sweet scent of spring and the buzz of bees getting their first taste of nectar. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

☀️ May will see the additional late flowering tulips and bluebells carpeting Trentham’s historic woodland, creating a blue haze between the trees. What a perfect way to celebrate the coming of spring and (most importantly) insta worthy photo opportunities. 💐📷

✨ Late night shopping starts THIS THURSDAY! ✨

The centre and shops will be open until 7pm on Thursday and we'll also have the first of our Story Time With Santa sessions running between 4-7pm where each child will receive a copy of the book read out by Santa himself (subject to availability). There's no need to book, we'll run sessions at 4pm, 4.30pm, 5pm, 6pm and 6.30pm. Places will be on a first come first served basis and we'll try and accommodate as many children as possible on each.
