It’s why I do what I do
Hi, I'm Helen Kenna and I founded Helen Kenna Connect in August 2015. Why? Well, I have met thousands of people throughout my life, some love their jobs, others don't. Either way, the majority nearly always find their jobs do not meet all their expectations. It may be that their income does not stretch to cover their monthly needs, a holiday or something as simple as an impulse buy. Perhaps the long hours or commute don't allow enough quality family time - the children are in bed when they leave and in bed when they arrive home. Some are over-stressed, feel under-valued or not challenged enough while others want financial security, a pension or would love to be their own boss. It sounds familiar doesn't it?
My background is in education and I love teaching. I was made redundant from one of my two part-time jobs which meant I was left with only the income from a two-day-a-week teaching position. But something else happened - I loved having more leisure time to myself. I had the time to meet friends, make jewellery, be with my family, things that were difficult to do before. However, I still needed an income.
A friend, who I had been buying Forever’s fantastic Aloe Vera products from for about two years, introduced me to the business side of the company. I went to one of Forever’s business presentations and very quickly realised that I could achieve the lifestyle I'd always wanted but by working flexible part-time hours that suited me and, even better, without financial risk. Better still, it gave me the opportunity to help others do the same. Today I mentor and support others in my team who have also become Forever business owners. What you put in is what you get out. I love it and for me, Forever means Forever as I cannot see a day I wouldn’t enjoy this wonderful business.
