Today we took the train to Exmouth - a stunning train ride along the coast and up the river Exe to Exeter and the down the other side of the River Exe to Exmouth. We explored and had lunch at Mickeys Bar followed by an ice cream 🍦 crawl back to the Exmouth to Starcross Ferry Port. We caught the ferry to Starcross, had a drink in The Atmospheric pub by the station then caught the train back to Teignmouth. A lovely day out! #starcross #exmouth
Day 7 of Shaldon Regatta 2023 fun & games! It started being invaded by pirates in the Gig and Punt chase manoeuvrable but poorer Shaldon Punt with its pilot used to compete with the larger and sometimes faster, more affluent, Teignmouth Gig, for the business of piloting shipping into Port. Reliable Historians assure us that the Shaldon Punt regularly outmanoeuvred and outwitted the Teignmouth Crew.

I will never forget the day we said a final farewell to Her Majesty The Queen. We stood on Constitution Hill overlooking the Palace, Westminster Cathedral and the Victoria Monument and it was an incredible moment in history. This week the world has mourned the loss of a unique , inspirational & caring leader. People from all walks of life came together in their thousands to show gratitude for our beloved Queen. Alongside the incredible ceremony and tradition we have watched a loving family grieve for a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with dignity and dedication.
