Just a few highlights from our week away in Dorset. I love a UK holiday & we do have so much on offer on our doorstep - plus I think the dog most definitely enjoyed himself, lots of walks, fun in the sea & sand after having a go paddle boarding 🤣(he may need to practice that more) & some doggy ice cream ! Sadly on our way home from what has to be one of my best travel adventures yet !
Just wanted to share a snippet of the wildlife we had the opportunity to see & I can’t put into words how excited and lucky we were to see both two toed & three toed sloths , in total 7 (my lucky 🍀 number !)
The Dwarf Mexican Porcupine had the guides and us very excited, as apparently not seen in Manuel Antonio national park for over 4 months , so a rare sighting & he looked very peaceful curled up sleeping.

Soooo much to share with you from Costa Rica 🇨🇷!Monteverde continued to provide amazing experiences and memories that we will keep forever. Zip lining through the cloud forest was incredible and after I had finished playing at superman (or wonder woman !) in the trees we spent time that afternoon learning about sugar cane, coffee & chocolate. This trip again exceeded all expectations with the most friendly , engaging and knowledgeable guides.From the cooler climate of Monteverde we headed then to Quepos on the Pacific Ocean side , much warmer here and the beaches and wildlife did not disappoint in the slightest. Our journey to Quepos included a stop for lunch , where we cooked lunch with a local family - I really love how Intrepid adventures support local people & how you can give back to the destination you visit in such a personal way. Wow what a day ! We saw a Sloth 🦥 🙌 Spotted on route from our Homestay experience to La Fortuna , Arenal.And then took an amazing Lava trail hike through the rainforest with stunning views of the Volcano 🌋 So much to see and take in , plants, birds, wildlife , scenery - such an incredible place !!!
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica 🇨🇷 We have arrived !! After a long journey here with a few flight delays, waking up super early as body clocks need to adjust …we have been walking the streets exploring this very interesting city today !A traditional Costa Rican breakfast set us up for the day, some great local food tested out for lunch , lots of old colonial history, museums and city life uncovered. Really looking forward to meeting the rest of our group this evening at the hotel, ready to hit the road tomorrow out of the city & experience the “Pura Vida” life I’ve heard so much about !! Well it was my last training hike yesterday up and down the Malvern Hills for Reuben’s Retreat.
This is the charity I am due to complete 3 National Peaks for later this week - just 5 sleeps left 🤦♀️🏔️
This amazing charity run a monthly Dads Club, for all those fathers that have unfortunately lost a child through illness.
The charity is currently looking after 200 bereaved families. That’s a lot of Dads that need some love and support to help them manage their loss and enjoy life again.
As a group of Travel Counsellors we are aiming to raise £10,000 and this would run the Dads club for 7 whole years!!
What an amazing reason to do this, and any spare pennies would be gratefully received to help us achieve this goal 🙏
