Bespoke locking jewellery. Wyred Slave is run by a life-style couple who have many combined years experience in our chosen world.

Wyred Slave started life when we searched thoroughly but failed to find a collar to suit our needs. We were looking for a locking metal collar that not only didn't cost a mortgage payment, but if it was affordable didn't then fall apart within minutes. It had to not only look good and be functional as a collar, but also be discrete enough to wear on a daily basis in front of family and friends. Fi

nally it also had to be kind to skin and not bring out a nasty rash when worn for long periods of time... I usually only have to look at some metals and can react badly! Obviously we struggled... so we made one of our own. We realised there must be other people out there looking for the same thing... so we started with the basic criteria: good looking, affordable, wearable designs that have an excellent reputation for being well-made.... and up to the job. The first collar design to be made was the 4mm Plain Band... which was picked up by one of our (now) regular customers who showed it to a southern lifestyle company called Him n Hers. They liked the product so much they ordered some for their website. At that point we didn't even have a business name let alone a name for the range despite them already selling on ebay and through word of mouth. After much discussion and a spark of creativity we decided to call ourselves Wyred Slave. The wyred is two-fold... our original design was using metal rope - or wire - and we live on the Wyre Coast - so here we are

From little acorns... we have sent collars and other pieces all over the world and have expanded from the original plain band to now offer a large range of Wraith designs including thicker-gauge collars, collars with different styles of O-Rings, locking belts, leashes and cuffs... plus new ideas are being introduced all the time. We're small enough that each item is made with care to order... which we feel makes your piece extra special as it's made only for you. As most collars have the importance of a wedding band the attention to detail and personal touch we offer adds to the event in a unique way. We love what we do and it thrills us to be able to make other people's lives more complete... and we intend to carry on with our unique attention to detail and extensive after sales care. So what the heck is this picture of Katie about? It’s mid October and we have not even had Halloween yet. So why is Katie wrapped up in faery lights in front of a roaring log fire? Well each year, about two days from the final posting date to get to the USA (New Zealand, Australia or some other place a long way from the UK) in time for Christmas (in fact often after the deadline) we always get customers wanting to order their loved one a locking something as a gift. Which is horrible for lots of reasons; not least of which we have to let a potential customer down. :(

So this is a friendly ‘heads up.’ If you are not in the UK please don’t leave things too late. We are a small family firm, each item is made from scratch by hand to order, and our books get full over Christmas. Sure we can courier it to you but that costs a lot more, so why waste the cash on a courier that could buy an extra present? If you go to our site there is a Christmas page with the order deadlines for your country.

If we bulk made our collars and pulled them off a shelf we would not have to say this. It’s because each item is custom made that we do.

Well, as the picture shows Katie has changed her look many times over the years. One thing that has not changed though is her collar. While Katie has tested all our designs the 7mm Ouroboros is the collar used to test all the tags and accessories and so is the collar Katie is most likely to find herself locked into. It goes equally well with a latex and corset outfit in a dungeon as a summer dress in the park. Nor does it look out of place when Katie throws on casual clothes for a shopping expedition in to town. Plus due to its 100% stainless steel construction (from the same grade of steel used in piercing jewellery) it need never be removed; even when swimming in the sea or taking the daily shower.

So pleased are we with this collar we want to make it a little easier for you to acquire one for yourself, or your loved one, over the summer season. Today we’re really happy to announce the release of the 9mm Ouroboros Collar, the boldest Ouroboros yet. A while back we had to take the Anya collar off line, as we ran out of stock of the bails. I'm glad to report not only have we sourced new bails but we now offer two choices. In fact the Anya is back with whole range of new options. I'd advise a look when you can. :)
