More than 400,000 tourists have visited Egypt since July without a single reported case of coronavirus, according to the country’s tourism ministry.

Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Khaled El-Anany, said preventive measures and safety regulations implemented in Egyptian hotels, museums, archaeological sites and tourist destinations had ensured a successful return to tourism amid the global pandemic.

Egypt opened its doors for visitors at the beginning of July, while cultural activities resumed at the start of September.
El-Anany also said that the World Travel and Tourism Council has awarded Egypt a “Safe Travels” stamp.

What is the Great Migration?

☀️Each year, almost two million wildebeest and 20 000 game (zebra & gizelle) migrate from Tanzania's Serengeti to the south of Kenya's Masai Mara in search of lush grazing grounds and life-giving water. This is dictated by the seasons and where the rains are, the wildebeest are not far behind. This epic journey from north to south spans almost 3000 kilometres and is virtually endless.

☀️This great spectacle of nature is an iconic safari option for avid travellers, nature lovers and those who want a little more from their African experience.

🕘 Best time to see the great migration:

July to November. This is traditionally thought of as the best season to view the migration. Between July and August, the wildebeest move into Kenya's Maasai Mara, crossing the Mara River in large numbers. These river crossings are among the most sought-after moments of the migration.
