For anyone staying with us over Easter weekend you can leave your car safely here and get out and about on the free shuttle bus.

Good news! The free Wasdale shuttle bus is back for Easter weekend. Running from Good Friday, March 29 to Easter Monday, April 1 enjoy leaving your car behind and exploring Wasdale easily and sustainably.

Had our first problem guests in the cottage today. They tried to chew the sofa and refused to check out when asked . They did offer to help out by eating the recycling though!

We have our popular activities during the half term, plus paddle board hire directly from the lake most days and bike hire from our base in Eskdale.

The Sawmill is a great place to go for a breakfast or coffee and cake after a walk and with 10% off this Wednesday and Thursday what's not to love!

It's official, we now have internet in the cottage and it actually works! Hooray!! I can now answer emails even when it is raining and it's fast enough for you to stream your favourite tv shows and films in the cottage for those wet Wasdale days.

Woodburners have been installed in both huts now just in time for the cold weather forecast for this weekend. Huge thanks to Lakeland Stoves for doing a great job.

We still have availability in our Wastwater hut for next week if you fancy a short break in wintry Wasdale.

I've had quite a few messages today regarding availability so if you are thinking of booking a last-minute December break this is what we have available:-

Farm Cottage
Saturday 10th until Saturday 17th December. Minimum of three nights. £95 per night.

Yewbarrow Shepherd's Hut
Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December. £150 for both nights.
Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd December. £160 for both nights.

Wastwater Shepherd's Hut
Sunday 11th until Friday 16th December. Minimum two night stay. £75 per night.
Friday 23rd December for one night - £80
