I often get asked by my customers how does my business work? How do I get paid and is there an extra cost to them by booking through me? So I thought it was time for a little update.

I have worked in travel for over 20 years and this is my full time job. I am self-employed and work along side Travel Counsellors. Some of you may be thinking so what does this mean?

✨This means I trade under the Travel Counsellors brand and run my own independent business

✨Every element of your holiday is not only ATOL protected but is also protected by Travel Counsellor's independent financial Trust, which means your money is 100% financially protected.

✨I have the support of our worldwide 24/7 duty office.

✨I have access to 1000’s of suppliers including Jet2, Tui and EasyJet holidays as well as smaller independent companies which enables me to completely tailor-make your perfect holiday at very competitive prices.

✨If you book with me I will then be your only contact, so no need for you to call airlines or holiday companies, spending your precious time on the end of the phone. If you have a question just pick up the phone I am always here for you from the start of your holiday planning, during and after your holiday.

✨I do your check-in for you, print, send or hand deliver all your travel documents or if you prefer they are all available on your personal MYTC APP.

✨I will email the hotels and let them know if you have any special requests be that a surprise proposal, a special birthday, an anniversary, a honeymoon or anything else I do all of this for you.

✨How do I get paid?

Unlike agents that work for a company such as a high street agent or someone working in a call centre – I am not salaried.

✨I am paid by the company/airline/attraction company etc and this is only when a booking is made and you have travelled.

Here’s what you need to know about the new entry rules….

Starting from today, travellers to Spain may encounter additional steps when checking into accommodation or renting a vehicle, as the country implements a new law aimed at enhancing national security. Here’s what you need to know:

What’s changing?
Hotels, hostels, Airbnb hosts and car rental providers are now required to collect more detailed information from customers to share with the Spanish Government. This applies to all types of accommodations and rental vehicles in Spain.
Information you will need to provide:
-Full Name
-Date of Birth
-Gender
-Nationality
-Passport Number
-Home Address
-Mobile phone number (landline too if available)
-Email Address
-The number of people you’re travelling with and your relationship to them (if any travellers are under 14)

If you rent a car, additional details such as your driving licence, payment information and potentially the cars GPS data may be required.

How does this affect your trip?
While these new measures are primarily procedural, they might add a few extra minutes to your check in process. To avoid delays, ensure you have all the necessary information readily available.
