We're busy finalising arrangements for Lantern parades and the Christmas lights switch-on on Friday 1st December. See attached poster for more details about timings and we hope lots of you will be able to attend.

Hannafore Beach Kiosk will be selling hot drinks and minced pies, Looe Community Fire Station will be cooking up a barbecue and we'll have a mulled wine stall raising money for the Mayor's Charity.

Santa will be making an appearance at the event and available for photos at the Rose Garden in East Looe after the lights switch-on. At the Quayside Centre there will be carol singing for everyone to join in and Looe Primary Academy's Performing Arts Club will sing for us.

The first box of the Community Advent Calendar will be opened on 1st December in St Nicholas' Church which will be open for visitors through the evening so please do call in. Lots of our local businesses will also be offering late-night shopping that day so we hope there will be something for everyone in Looe. Don't forget that free parking is available at the Millpool Car Park from 4pm.

There are just a few places available on our second Lantern Making Workshop at Tencreek on Saturday 25th November so please contact Looe Library or email at address below if you'd like to make a Christmas lantern for the processions on 1st December.

You can also join in with lighting up Looe by decorating your home or business premises - the Mayor will do a tour of the town during December to judge displays so if you'd particularly like a visit please let us know at [email protected].

We finally took a visit to Daisy's cafe looe and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious breakfast sandwiches (we ate too quickly to get a photo 😬), great range of drinks on offer and a very cute setting. But by far the best part of the experience was how lovely and welcoming the owners were. (Daisy’s was full of Brummies today). We shall definitely be returning.
