It's good to be back in Oban after some much needed time away seeing family. I took the opportunity to have a (quick) swim in Loch Morlich with my cousins, and with chunks of ice on the shore, it can't have been more than 1°C!

to last month! This has so far been my first and only swim where I really struggled with my body's reaction to the cold. Getting in was really difficult, I could feel myself breathing too fast and shivering too much. If I'd been alone I wouldn't have done it - but I wasn't, so I took my time and it was worth it!

Wow! What a magical swim today with Andy- we were joined by a curious seal! It followed us for almost 20 minutes as we swam round the headland and back into Ganavan Bay. So glad I brought my GoPro with me today!!

Massive congratulations to Andy, who completed the Craggy Island Triathlon at the weekend! 🏊‍♂️🚵‍♂️🏃‍♂️Andy has been working hard with me over the summer to conquer his fear of deep/dark water, as well as improving his breathing and sighting technique, and overall speed and endurance.

All that hard work paid off as he cut down his swim time by almost a third, taking a whopping 5:30 off his time compared to last year, with his overall triathlon time improving by over 16 minutes!!! But more importantly, he said he felt confident and safe in the water, which for me is the biggest achievement!

Well done Andy, thank you for all your hard work!!

5km swim organised by Go Swim done!!🥳🏊‍♀️ I struggled to fit in enough training for myself alongside all my coaching, but I still completed the swim in an hour 52(ish) and more importantly had a great time! Earlier this week took me to Seil for some lessons with the lovely locals there who prefer the open water to a swimming pool. We were able to develop their technique just as much as in a pool!

I offer sessions in fresh water too! Not a fan of jellyfish, seaweed or crabs? We have several local lochs all easily accessible and beautiful. Just finished a swim myself!
