Ginger's is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded Superhost status on AirBnB.

What's more, in the run-up to World Toilet Day on 19th November, thanks to the generosity of Ginger's guests, we are now sponsoring a 2nd toilet, this time in Zembe, Mozambique, Africa.

Why?

Issaï used to feel deeply afraid as she ventured into the bush at night to go to the toilet.

Most of the homes in her village didn’t have toilets, or had toilets that weren’t properly built – so Issaï’s village was in a pretty bad state.

‘It wasn’t safe for old people like me to go out to the toilet late at night. And when the rains came, there was water everywhere.’

Recently, through sponsorship, a toilet of her own was built for Issaï at home. Toilet Twinning is doing the same for many other households in the area.

‘My latrine means I don’t have to go out into the bush late at night, where there are reptiles and other dangers. From now on, I can use the toilet quietly at home, undisturbed, without the whole village knowing.’

For women and girls, toilets restore dignity and help keep them safe.

Ginger's wonderful guests have now contributed more than half of the funds required to sponsor another toilet in our toilet twinning efforts.
Ginger's has already funded a toilet in Honduras.
The next toilet we sponsor will be in Afghanistan.

Ginger’s is a beautifully refurbished, spacious and bright property conveniently situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within the Royal Burgh of Stirling. Whether you are here for tourism, on holiday or for work, the Edinburgh Festival, Hogmanay, or visiting friends & family, Ginger’s offers everything you need.

Within walking distance of the train station and bus-stops, and less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, it could not be better located for travel. Two large supermarkets are less than 10-minutes on foot, and a wide selection of pubs and restaurants are easily accessible. Within walking distance of the train station and bus-stops, and less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, it could not be better located for travel. A free off-road car-park right next to the house as well as easy access to major routes makes this an appealing choice.

Two large supermarkets are less than 10-minutes on foot, and a wide selection of pubs and restaurants are easily accessible. Within a few minutes you can reach the Victorian Spa Village of Bridge of Allan where you can enjoy some gourmet vegan food, pavement cafes, and boutique shops. Stirling’s historic Old Bridge is a 5-minute walk away and the river Forth meanders close by for beautiful evening strolls. Stirling Castle, the historic old town and the Wallace Monument are also accessible on foot or a short drive. It’s also the perfect base from which to explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, the East Neuk fishing villages, and many of Central Scotland’s scenic areas.
