Visiting the is like bouncing around through time. The star attraction is a series of living rooms from the 1600s to the present day, meticulously arranged to look like the inhabitants have just left. Chimneys are half-swept, food is left uneaten, and candles are half-burned down. There's also a really thoughtful display on how we decide what goes into our homes, and how some decisions are made for us!

Watching the experts at work at . Something cool about the place is that most of the stalls are very specific- say, foraged mushrooms, or Lincolnshire sausages, or blue cheese. So the people working there are the absolute experts in how to use the food and what to pair it with!

I went to Vaisakhi celebrations at Trafalgar Square at the weekend. I've never been before, but London is so diverse and multicultural, and I'm determined to try and understand a little more about my neighbours! It's a major holiday in the Sikh calendar as a harvest festival and when we celebrate the beginning of the Khalsa order.

They had a really cool martial arts group who showed off all sorts of weapons, and finished with the master being blindfolded, then slicing a melon balanced on the belly of a man lying on the ground. Very cool!

Time for another historic pub recommendation, and today we're at the Princess Louise in Holborn! This place is loaded with flourishes, from the stained glass to the tiles to the wooden bar.

It's divided up into small rooms that are perfect for a private drink, but are pretty hellish when it's crowded, so this is definitely a place to keep in the back pocket for a daytime trip (maybe after you've been on your feet in the Bloomsbury museums all day) rather than an after-work get together.
