I am delighted to be running two women only, beginner friendly, guided rides from 'spoke' locations to the village 'hub'. And the best part? It's completely free!

Hey, what's happening? 😃

It's been a while since I posted a proper update so here's the lowdown on what's happening with Elevate right now ⬇️

Sadly, due to covid, I've had to cancel this weekends Badenoch Adventure. I've also taken the decision to cancel the Burma Road Adventure.

There are, however, still lots of opportunities to ride with Elevate this summer! ☺️

Join me Lesley Mckenna and Hannah Bailey for a weekend of connecting to nature, meaning making, photography coaching, yoga and of course mountain biking.

The Badenoch Adventure is coming up soon and is essentially a tour of my favourite trails! 😍

During lockdown, I'd ride here almost every day, so I know these trails inside out and where to strike trail gold! 🌈🌟

Starting from Uath Lochans, near Kingussie, I'll guide you to spectacular view points and to fun, flowy natural trails. We'll take in the famous 'Green Dream' trail as a highlight 💚

We'll ride wide forest paths and singletrack climbs and descents. Descents are fun and flowy, with some rocks and roots. Nothing gnarly, just super fun!! 🤩

Come and join me and other like-minded folks to enjoy an amazing day on Saturday 16th July.

A personal favourite of mine, this is my 'headspace' route. It's a ride for switching off from the day-to-day and immersing yourself in the beauty of your surroundings 😍

Ride through ancient pine forests to Ryvoan Bothy, stopping to take in the spectacular 'green loch' before your long, gradual descent into Nethy Bridge. Flowy forest trails await you there, before you complete your ride on what might just be the most scenic cycle path in Scotland🤩

I thought it might take a miracle to get me off my bike and at the laptop, but in actual fact all it took was a couple of wild and stormy days 😅 🌪🌪🌪

👋 For those who don’t know me, I thought I’d share a few quick facts about myself!

👩 I am Fiona (or Fee) and I am the founder, head guide and coach at Elevate MTB.

🌍 I grew up in Aberdeenshire, but have spent 10 years+ living and working in the stunning adventure playground that is the Cairngorms National Park. Some of the best riding in the country is right on my doorstep and I never get tired of exploring.

🚵‍♀️ I started mountain biking in 2016 after attending a women’s guided ride on a borrowed bike. I bought my own mountain bike a few weeks later and I haven’t looked back.

♀️ I’m proud to be one of a handful of women in Scotland who is both a qualified British Cycling Level 3 Mountain Bike Leader and a Level 2 Mountain Bike Coach.

🏁 I’ve taken part in enduro and endurance races such as the Scottish Enduro Series, Strathpuffer and Glentress 7.

🏂 When I’m not mountain biking, I can be found snowboarding, splitboarding, wild swimming and working as a Marketing Manager for a timber company.

🥰 I love bringing like-minded people together to explore and adventure by bike. Sharing the joy of riding bikes with others and bringing new people into this amazing community is what makes me tick and it's why I started Elevate.

📅 This years guided adventure rides are currently being planned, I can't wait to share the details with you all soon.

I chose the name ELEVATE because (no matter where you are starting from) raising your experience of mountain biking is my aim. Whether your goal is to ride more, ride further, explore new places, or up your skills, Elevate MTB is here to elevate your ride 🙌

2021 is coming to and end and what a year it has been!

As great friends and riding buddies, it was so amazing to team up and collaborate on RideOut Adventures. We delivered 6 incredible guided rides, exploring the very best the Cairngorms has to offer with some amazing people 🥰

For 2022, Fiona is excited to be taking the reins, running the same great adventures, just with a new name. Look out for some amazing new routes as well as some favourites 🤩

Going forward Anna has decided to focus on RideOut Coaching and her exciting new role at DMBins 😊

We've had an absolute blast running the adventures together. While we are sad not to be working together anymore, we continue to be great friends and fully intend to support each other in our solo endeavours. Oh, and you had better believe there will be some future collaborations! 👯‍♀️

Our Discover Cairngorms Adventure is an incredible guided mountain bike weekend taking in classic Cairngorms route, the Burma Road on the Saturday, and exploring the trails around wild and beautiful Glen Feshie on Sunday.

Together we will explore these wild and remote places, experience vast open space and feel energised as we seek out adventure, discover hidden gems, ride secret singletrack and meet like-minded people, making lasting memories along the way.

You'll be provided with a healthy, hearty packed lunch each day to keep you fuelled, with all dietary requirements catered for. You'll also receive an organic cotton RideOut Adventures tote bag with some lovely goodies to take away with you.

Food is fuel! That’s why we provide all our riders with a healthy, hearty lunch to keep them going all day 😋

Lunches are made by the lovely Claire at Speyside Kitchen , who can cater for any dietary requirement 👌

Speyside Kitchen are a local catering and delivery service of made-to-order menus and oven-ready dishes. They have also just opened the fabulous SK Cafe at Badaguish, which happens to be on the doorstep of some pretty awesome biking trails. Check them out next time you are passing 😎
