Morning everyone 😊 it’s been a fabulous week for walking. Here’s a selection of photos - Valley of Rocks, Hollerday Hill and East Lyn river.

Next scheduled guided group walk is on Saturday 22nd July, a special one meeting 10:30am at The Ancient Mariner, I’ll be taking you on a walk around Lynmouth, along the East Lyn river, sharing local history, sacred sites and optional wild swim. This is a 2 hour gentle stroll with a couple of small inclines. The terrain is a mixture of pavement, road and footpath alongside the river. This particular walk is women only, a chance for you to meet like minded women who enjoy walking and nature. No children or dogs on this walk, thank you. If you would like to book a walk with your family or friends, please do get in touch. I will have a scheduled walk every Wednesday morning in August 10:30am meeting at Lynton Town Hall. Throughout the Summer season I will run sunset strolls, these are tailor made walks and minimum of 4 people required.

In the Autumn I have a series of night time, star walks as part of the Dark Skies Festival.

Who fancies joining me for a guided walk in Lynmouth on 22nd July? This is Mary Magdalene’s Feast Day and will be a beautiful gathering of women ♥️ 🌹

We meet at 10:30am at The Ancient Mariner pub, the walk will include FUN, laughter, woodlands, river, seaside, I’ll talk about local history, trees and connecting to the land. We will also have a short ceremony.

It’s a slow paced, chilled out stroll for approx 1.5-2 hours, there’s no rushing from A to B with me 😂 this a walk for grounding and meeting like minded women.

A women only, child free, dog free walk.

Cost £15pp and optional lunch at a local pub afterwards 😊🙏

I’m insured to lead guided walks.
My first aid is up to date.
The route is partially road walk, pavement followed by footpath along the river which is undulating and moderately steep in parts. There are steps in places too. Walking boots and sensible shoes are essential.
You are responsible for your own health and well-being throughout the walk.
If you have any allergies/medical conditions I need to be aware of, please message me in advance.

Do you enjoy night walks? There is something pretty special, magical and silent about walking in the woods at night. I have been asked again by Exmoor National Park to facilitate night walks as part of the Dark Skies Festival this October. Last year these were a sell out, so if you’d like to be an early bird. Price is £15pp, children under 12 go free.

Dates are 18th, 22nd and 26th October ✨

Evening all walkers and friends of Exmoor. Firstly a HUGE thank you for everyone who has joined me on a guided walk this year. Day time or evening walks, I can honestly say I’ve loved every minute of showing you this magical place.

My walking boots are being hung up for a few weeks rest and recovery. I was unfortunately hit by a car last week.

If you’d like to continue supporting Exmoor Walks, have you thought about a team away day with me for 2023? I offer a guided walk, including local history, flora, fauna, geology and sacred sites. A home cooked lunch or cream tea can be included in your walk too. Special rates given to charities and community interest companies. The well-being of your staff is essential, treat them. This week I’m running night time walks covering Hollerday Hill and Valley of Rocks. I speak about local history, moon cycles and stars, we take plenty of time to stop and absorb the atmosphere of the woodland at night. I facilitate a short mindfulness exercise. Last night the ages ranged from 5-75 and we all had a wonderful time.

27th, 29th October and 1st November are the next walks 7-9pm starting at Lynton Town Hall. Only £10pp.
