A few questions have cropped up more and more recently, so I thought rather than keep these to myself, I'd share 3 of my travel tips I've learnt/ used in 2024...

1) MONZO - Whilst I usually carry some cash, the majority of my transactions whilst away are done using my Monzo account. I treat it like a top-up debit card and take advantage of their great exchange rates and preferential ATM international policy. It's also fantastic if you need to split costs with friends/ family using their shared tab function. If you are interested in setting up and getting a card for yourself, message me the word MONZO, and I'll send you a referral link so both you and I get a small referral bonus

2) AIRLO - When I am travelling, it is important I keep connected and have internet access. Whilst EU isn't too bad, for anything further afield, I always get an eSim using Airlo. Rates are good, and by using an eSim, I don't have to mess with taking my physical card out. Your phone must be eSim compatible, but if you would like to try AIRLO, use referral code THEA3928, and you will get 3 euros off your first Sim

3) WINDY - A new app that I got recommended and now can not live without is Windy. With many destinations (especially tropical) never showing correct weather forecasts on google, Windy has far more accurate readings plus the added benefit of webcams so you can see the weather for yourself. Perfect at this time of the year for checking the snow in Lapland!

El Tarter is part of the massive 210km Grandvalira ski area. The snow conditions are good throughout the season (obviously warmer in spring) but you'll often see amazing snow in Andorra when the rest of Europe is struggling.

It's also home to one of the best ski schools in Europe. They'll transform nervous beginners into confident improvers in no time. The speedy and advanced can also choose from a range of classes and clinics to push their skills to the limit.

El Tarter is a laid-back mountain town. Après is low-key with a few bars to choose from. L'Aberset bar straight off the slopes is pretty lively until about 8pm, or head to the hotel's own bar to carry on the party feel.

Not only is El Tarter a good choice for all levels of skier and snowboarder, the resort lends itself to those looking to enjoy a more chilled-out week.

A bumper day in London yesterday with 2 fantastic events.

I started off enjoying a fantastic champagne afternoon tea courtesy of & . As we dined, we learnt about some fantastic product updates of some of the best hotels in the Caribbean as well as being introduced to some new ones too 😀. Of course, I also had to pick up some tea whilst here.

I then bunkered down in a local Pret (via a pitstop at Buckingham Palace for a picture).

In the evening, I joined / & for a private screening of the brand new Moana 2! Did you know the animated Disney film was inspired by The Islands of Tahiti? Disney's creative team visited the islands of Moorea, Tahiti and Huahine, which were the inspiration for the fictional island of Motonui!!

A huge thank you to everyone for extending an invite to me and welcoming me so warmly to your fantastic events.
