Occasionally, life reminds us we are not in control of everything that happens around us or in control of what directly happens to us. Unfortunately this past month Ive had an health issue to sort out not just for myself but my daughter as well ! so Clear and Bright Inclusive Travel has had to take a back seat ! Hopefully we will be back on it !

And just like that the Beauty of Autumn is here ! 🍁

For some people, Autumn is the most beautiful time of year. For others, it isn’t. Whether you like it or not, Autumn actually comes with several health benefits.

The Autumn harvest means there are plenty of fruits and vegetables like squash, pears and apples which are not only delicious, but they are packed with vitamins, phytonutrients and anti-oxidants.

Autumn is also a prime time to go out and exercise. The cooling temperatures reduce the risk of heat-related health issues and exercising also increases our moods.

Lastly, we also gain an hour of sleep in Autumn when the clocks go back. This does wonders for our health. The extra hour enables our bodies to rest more and recharge both physically and mentally.

Well it’s been such a busy couple of months ! Travelling with friends & family ! and I’d love to share our adventures and give the best info and advice from our experiences travelling with children who have that extra need ! It’s been fun, exciting and has been stressful at times ! Somehow we try our best to make the experience as calm as we can but some days it’s out of our control ! and it can go wrong and pear shaped ! I always say to myself if this happens so what ! We learn from our experiences, we are always learning, and should never feel afraid to try again ❤️

Back in June I booked a spontaneous 3 night trip to Portugal to Centre Algarve, a holiday complex for families with children who have additional needs. It was an inset day and we thought why not ! We went along with my friend and her son who has Autism, we had such a lovely time ! It wasn’t all straight forward we had our challenges ! But we did it and loved it ! If any sen families would like information on the complex please look up Centre Algarve on their page and message them direct for bookings 😀

So whats a Scottish Breakfast ?
🍳 Anyone had one?
What's the difference between an English Breakfast and Scottish Breakfast?
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 A Scottish breakfast is likely to include:
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Potatoe Scone (Tattie scone) Its very flat and often quite tough. Some places bake it and some fry it.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Sausage - some places offer link sausages as well as square sausages . Link (lorne) sausages are your normal tubular sausages. Square sausages is something altogether different. They are square! Its flat like a little square sausage patty.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Porridge - Porridge is quite a serious subject in Scotland! Scottish porridge is generally made with water, none of that fancy milk, or cream. Some posh hotels do offer whisky and cream with their Scottish porridge !
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Haggis - Haggis is a collection of offal items cooked inside a skin (traditionally the stomach of a sheep). It can be quite spicy to taste, not hot spicy but spicy because of spices and peppers. Haggis is often served in slices for breakfast. There are also vegetarian haggis options too.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Black pudding, Mushrooms, beans, eggs and bacon are also generally served with a full Scottish breakfast.

So if you order a Scottish breakfast you can expect a plate of fried delights with some uniquely Scottish features. 🍳

Sorry it’s been a bit quiet on here ! June has been quite busy, I’ve been out and about 🌞✈️ so I will share these trips soon !

Lots are going off in the travelling world ! With the heatwave in Europe and airport strikes at Gatwick ! It’s just not what we want to hear !

How do I get an ETIAS? (European Travel Information Authorisation System)

How great does this look ! What an adventure for all the family ! Accepts Max Card admissions which is so affordable for SEN Families ! So if anyone is visiting Northumberland make sure you visit Alnwick ! Northumberland has some amazing beaches and probably a place you wouldn’t think to visit ! I think it gets forgotten about especially if you live down South ! 😀

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend ! we certainly have seen the sun out and doesnt it make you feel so much better ! I certainly got caught out by the sun yesterday ! By the end of the day I had a red face and red neck !!! Just reading this article which is worth a read ! Fascinating more people get burnt in the month of April than the summer months ! So guys get that sun factor on and Ill certainly be putting a tube in my daughters school bag !
