Lots of people travelling at the moment and that means a higher number of changes.

Yesterday I was woken up by a notification at 4.40 that my clients flight for yesterday morning was cancelled. That notification came through at 0440 for an lunchtime flight.

By 0600 the client was rebooked on an alternative and their subsequent connections rebooked, and tickets reissued and emailed. No stress.

Had they booked themselves they would probably not have known until getting to the airport, then they would have stood in a long queue with all the other impacted passengers or faffed on with chatbots and hold music if getting in touch with an online retailer. Not a great start to a trip. Alternatively they may have just received a cancellation and a refund, ruining their holiday

If you compare prices online and prices with an agent and wonder why on occasion our prices are marginally more, this is the value you are paying for and the value agents like me are providing when rebooking flights seamlessly etc before clients are even aware there is a problem in many cases. That is surely worth it?

A good independent travel agent is with you EVERY step of the way. Please do not be offended if I don’t advertise to match internet prices, the internet doesn’t offer to match my service

A little honesty post here

I hate these type of posts as it sounds like i am moaning and i am not but just wanted to be honest with a my customers to save them and myself a lot of time.

TUI, On The Beach & Love Holiday............. If you are looking at a price beat or match with these guys i really am not the Travel Agent for you and we will always be honest and let you know this from the start. These online agents offer no service whatsoever once you book or during the booking process. In the last week alone at booking stage i have established 2 passengers with out of date passports who wanted to travel next week and if they had booked online they would not have flagged that and lost their holiday money.

Calling your hotels and transfers prior to travel and requesting upgrades and added little extras is also something booking online will not do

I do work closely with the likes of JET2 AND Easyjet so i am always happy to check comparisons here as there eagerness to work with agents always makes it easier for me to work with

What i will promise is you will get
