Yesterday I attended a training day with some of our Destination Management Companies also known as DMC’s.
I use DMC’s a lot for my clients who require bespoke itineraries for various long haul destinations, rather than booking an “off the peg holiday”.
So why are they so important and what makes them different?
- Our DMC’s are always based in the destinations where my clients are looking to travel too.
-They know the countries inside out
-They can offer many things that standard tours just can’t do, such as “experiences” within the destination, such as spending time with a local family, day trips to popular tourist areas, but at the right times when there are less crowds.
-They are on hand 24 hours a day in case of emergencies.
-If weather changes and a day tour becomes impossible to do, they will find alternatives at the last minute or schedule for another day (you don’t get this with “off the peg” holidays).
-They give back to their local community and sustainability is important to them
-They have the same ethos as me, they care about my clients as much as I do and all they want is for them to have a once in a lifetime holiday.
-Their care and attention to detail is second to none.
My DMC partners operate in all continents across the globe, so I have a vast network of suppliers I can use for those bucket list trips or Honeymoons.

I arrived home last night following the most wonderful stay at Ikos Porto Petro in Majorca.
I will be around today, Monday and Tuesday and then I’ll be putting that out of office on again as I am off to experience a different kind of All Inclusive offering at the beautiful Club Med Marbella in Spain.
Normal service will be resumed on Monday 16th October but if there’s anything urgent then please get in touch before Wednesday this week.
