Welcome to our lodge ‘Langdale View’ (8 Skiptory) located on the 5* White Cross Bay Holiday Park, between the lovely towns of Windermere and Ambleside, within the Lake District National Park. The Lodge is in a fabulous setting, amongst the trees, with sunny decked area and peaceful surroundings in a quieter part of the park, yet with full access to all amenities and just a short stroll away to the shores of lake Windermere. We would like to welcome guests old and new
The romantic cosy lodge is wooden inside has 2 bedrooms , one double and one with 2 singles,(.currently being changed to this ) Bathroom with shower , kitchen , central heating and decking. In raised area overlooking other lodges. On a quieter part of site.Abundance if wildlife around. Well behaved dogs by arrangement. Dog friendly site and walks.
There's plenty to do at White Cross Bay; you can enjoy the park's restaurant and takeaway or relax in the beer garden while the kids have fun in the outdoor play area. Unwind in the heated indoor pool, sauna or steam room or, if you feel a little more energetic there's a gym and areas for football and basketball. An arcade for the kids and seasonal activities and entertainment. Set on the lake yet easily accessible by train, bus or car. If you wish leave the car there are bus stops right outside the entrance to the site.
Windermere and Ambleside are just a couple of miles away hosting a range of shops, pubs and cafes and restaurants. Windermere is home of the famous Beatrix Potter Gallery and it’s iconic lake is home to plenty of lakeside activities. Bowness bay is where you can take one of the boats on various routes along Windermere or stop off at Lakeside where you can visit the aquarium or take a trip in the steam train. You you can also hire motorboats and canoes to explore the lake yourselves. A little further afield there are plenty of attractions including Wray Castle, Fell Foot Park ,Loughrigg Fell and the falls at Stockghyll Force.
