What a lovely morning at Montalto Estate, listen that lovely peace and quiet.

Bit different today than in June 1798 when the Battle of Ballynahinch took place right here. If you look closely at the video you can just see a united Irish man heading towards the action!

In honour of this, we 'fought' our way through a gorgeous breakfast, followed by tea and buns (be rude not too! 😋), followed by a trek round the grounds, the gift shop and the Christmas shop.

It's about 20 minutes drive from Daffodil Hill Accommodation, really recommend you head over for a bite and check out the amazing grounds.

This poem was inspired when William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy came across a "long belt" of daffodils.

I wonder how will you be inspired during you visit......?? May the memories made here fill your heart with pleasure when you return home...x

The Gobbins Walkway Great morning trekking The Gobbins. This amazing part of Northern Ireland's history and a feat of engineering was originally opened in 1902. Tour took about 3 hours, really great guide, with lots of interesting facts. Views are stunning and feels pretty special that your walking in the footsteps, viewing the same natural beauty as the people in 1902!

Approx 45mins from Daffodil Hill, great visitor centre with gift shop and onsite Cafe.

Bon Voyage!!

As we get ready to welcome more guests to the quiet serenity of Daffodil Hill, we say goodbye to family as they travel to America, so that my Sister in Law can finally catchup with her family.

We know you understand as so many of you have made the journey here after a hard two years restrictions to finally say Hi to your loved ones.

We will miss you...but every cloud has a silver lining, so they say!! :-)

We have acquired a really beautiful original painting by Sara Sterling, of some lovely daffodils.

We love it!

Now, hope we can work out where to hang it before you all get back here......

And that's a wrap for the Summer! We had a great one, how about you?

We got to visit again one the must do's in Northern Ireland....The Giants Causeway.

Of Course everyone from Northern Ireland.... and I suspect from further afield knows that it's a must to have the obligatory photo on the stones.

Over the summer we did The Family Chocolate experience here and it was amazing, great day out for all the family and amazing family. We had the best chocolate supply to munch through out whole entire holiday....Thankyou Geri

Between 1pm -4.30pm today you can call in and sample one of our chocolate truffles, creams, or varieties we use in all our delicious handmade range! As well as that we'll be offering free samples of our best-selling Irish Porter!
Also please note due to a private booking we will be CLOSED on Bank Holiday Monday so if you need supplies for the week ahead, call in today between 1pm -5pm!

Daffodil Hill provides 4 Star Self Catering Accommodation, set in the lovely rural County Down countryside between Carryduff and Saintfield.

We await you with a warm welcome...and a cuppa and some treats of course. Anyone who is from, or has been to Northern Ireland knows this is a given!! 😁

The Accommodation is comprised of a spacious well equipped Kitchen, with separate Dining Room and Living Room. Three bedrooms provide a Double and two twin rooms, allowing up to six people to enjoy a comfortable base as they explore Northern Ireland or just kick back and relax.
