This was snapped an hour before sunrise at Porthleven beach on Boxing Day, and for a sec, the sun looked like it was gonna pop out. But then mist and fog swallowed the sunrise, and looks like we're stuck with it till the weekend. I really love the colours though!

A short walk from our holiday cottage

Loe Pool is Cornwall's largest natural lake, often simply called the Loe (logh being the Cornish for 'pool'). The Pool and Bar provide an unique wildlife habitat in the county and are designed a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

It's renowned for its bird population with great numbers of wigeon, teal, mallard, shoveller, pochard, tufted duck and coot cruising its waters

The layout will be slightly different from last year, so here are our top tips to guarantee the ultimate foodie experience:
 
- Pop into the legendary Ann’s Pasty shop and join a pasty-making workshop.
 
- Take the family to the Sam O’ Shanty Puppet Show on Sunday at the Shipyard Diner’s Club.
 
- Dive into activities like wine tasting and cocktail crafting at The Net Loft and Lime Kiln bar (you’ll need a ticket for these and can get yours from our website)
 
- Check-out incredible demonstrations in the Chef’s Theatre, running all weekend on the Harbour Head, with some of the biggest and best UK culinary names.
 
- Savour the authentic flavours of Cornwall with delicious street food and stock-up on local delicacies to take home at the Food & Farmers Market.
 
- Dance off all the indulgence and enjoy live music at the Evening Sessions (tickets needed) and the free-to-attend Shipyard Diner’s Club plus shanties at the Lime Kiln Stage.
