Awww, this is an old post that has popped up. Here I am 4 years later & still loving it ๐Ÿฅฐ I can honestly say that although I work long hours, frequently forget the division between home and work life balance, get a little stressed at times and I am most definitely addicted to my laptop, I have never been happier ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฃ Now who wants to me to find their dream holiday??? ๐Ÿคช

โœˆ๏ธ๐ŸŒŽ So why did I become a Travel Agent โ“โ“โ“

Aged 16 & I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, so I stayed on at school to do a business course for all of 3 weeks, deciding that office work was not for me๐Ÿ™„ Then fate lent a hand, when I saw an advert in a shop window for an Youth Trainee Travel Agent & I thought that sounds like fun ๐Ÿ˜ Bear in mind that I had only been on a plane once in my life at this point, so I wasn't exactly well travelled ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Anyway, that's where it all began, first the apprenticeship, then as a Sales Consultant for Thomas Cook ๐Ÿ’› then Customer Service Manager, then Branch Manager, several years went by, then kids, then a Sales consultant again, then some travel time out, then 2 years working for a long haul specialist tour operator and finally Hays Travel ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก - Phew there you have it my Travel career in a nutshell ๐Ÿฅœ So here I am 32 years later, much older, wiser (sort of), definitely greyer & with many tales to tell & experiences to share ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

๐ŸคฉWow what can I say, January was quite a month, I was crazy busy booking some fantastic trips. Italy was particularly popular, as well as lots of cruises, the Caribbean, lots of Greece plus Australia, Morocco, & lots to the far East too. Literally most destinations far and near where booked plus plenty of tailor made itineraries for me to really get stuck into as well๐Ÿ˜œ

My name is Jo, and I have spent most of my working life within the travel industry. I started at an independent travel agents straight from school and then went on to join Thomas Cook at the age of 18. During my 23 years at Thomas Cook I was Sales Travel Consultant before being promoted to a Customer Service Manager at the age of 20, and a then Branch Manager at the age of 22.

I then went onto have 2 children, who are now teenagers and share my love of travel too!!

I have been lucky enough to have visited many destinations, and experience many different types of trips, some of which are:
