The past year was my year for short trips!
I did weekends in ๐ช๐ฒ๐๐บ๐ผ๐๐๐ต, ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฎ, ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐ธ & ๐ฆ๐ ๐ข๐๐๐๐ต and a lovely week in ๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฟ, ๐ ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ผ ! Without this business my passion and ease in travel wouldnโt be possible so Iโm always grateful ๐ซถ๐ผ

Just because itโs cold and rainy and I wish I even had a trip booked I thought I would share some of my images from the stunning place that is Zadar in Croatia.

Before going to Croatia I was told it was basically โthe poor mans Italyโ and I have to admit itโs not far wrong. By avoiding adopting the Euro as currency Croatia has managed to keep shopping, drinking and dining fairly cheap in comparison to many other places you may visit in Europe. With us finding a huge meal with starters and a bottle of wine coming in at around ยฃ30 for 2! In a lovely decorated restaurant aswell!

Croatia has a heavy Italian influence in its architecture and food so if you are a pasta lover like me then this may be the place for you! Because of the vast choice of restaurants, supermarkets and things to do in Zadar I preferred to stay in an apartment and there are many dotted around the Old Town or in the neighbouring towns where accommodation is more affordable and a taxi ride to the Old Town costs around ยฃ3.

Croatia boasts beautiful scenery and there are so many boat trips to various islets and national wonders. Just like the salt lake that we visited and floated the afternoon away โบ๏ธโบ๏ธ
Even though the journey is under 3 hours, Croatia has nearly 3000 hours of sunlight each year and hits temperatures in the high 30s between June-September.
