Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive In Boston, MA
Arrive at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and proceed to the hotel. Today you can visit the Boston arbour where you can enjoy The Boston HarborWalk. This walk is designed to connect the public to a clean and restored Boston Harbor. The HarborWalk links the water’s edge to the city’s open space system. Another option is visiting Faneuil Hall Marketplace comprised of a collection of boutiques, eateries and pushcart vendors housed in converted 18th-century warehouses. Enjoy the street entertainers that frequently perform just outside. Accommodations in a standard room at Midtown Hotel or similar
Day 2: Boston, MA
Today is yours to explore this historic town. Walk the Freedom Trail, one of the Americas’ first historic walking tours. This is the perfect introduction to Colonial and Revolutionary Boston. The walking tour takes visitors to 16 historical sites covering two and a half centuries of America’s most significant past. Visit Paul Revere’s House, the oldest building in downtown Boston. It served as the home of Paul Revere and his family from 1770 to 1800. Revere left here for his famous midnight ride. Walkthrough history as you visit each of Boston’s sites. Visit the dock where it all began, the Boston Tea Party, the revolution that changed the world. Accommodations in a standard room at Midtown Hotel or similar
Day 3: Boston – Salem – Gloucester – Kennebunkport, ME
Today you will leave Boston and drive north toward Salem. The infamous Salem was home to the witch trials of 1692. A group of girls and women in Salem Village, who had been dabbling with the occult, began acting in a strange manner; a local doctor claimed the “evil hand” setting the stage for the accusation of approximately 190 people for witchcraft afflicted them. The trials ended after 15 months. Well aware of its infamy, Salem has a number of attractions centred on this uneasy time, including haunted tours and re-enactments. Continue the drive passing Gloucester, America’s oldest fishing port, toward Kennebunkport. The city of Kennebunkport is filled with historic and fun-filled attractions. Goose Rocks Beach, stretching for three miles is a great place for hiking and exploring. Accommodations in a standard room at Nonantum Resort or similar
Day 4: Kennebunkport – Bar Harbor, ME
This morning get to know Kennebunkport and all its natural wonders like Spouting Rock and Blowing Cave, which lie on the popular shore walk, Parson’s Way. This port river also separates Kennebunkport’s Dock Square from Kennebunk’s Lower Village, both of which are filled with stores, restaurants and historic sites. Don’t forget to take a look at Walker’s Point as well; it is located on a peninsula extending from Kennebunkport’s Ocean Avenue into the Atlantic Ocean and is best known as the summer home of the Bush Presidential family. No access is available on the grounds, but it can be viewed from Ocean Avenue. In the afternoon continue to Bar Harbor. Located in Downeast, Bar Harbor was once considered a small fishing and shipbuilding community. Today, it is a favourite destination for people throughout the world. A visit to Bar Harbor affords the comforts and luxury of a classic retreat, but also offers spectacular beauty and a natural wonder for those who would prefer to spend their time outdoors. Accommodations in a standard room Wonderview Inn & Suites or similar
Day 5: Bar Harbor, ME
Today you can explore Bar Harbor and its surroundings at your leisure. Visit Mount Desert Oceanarium which includes a lobster museum, a marsh tour, and a lobster hatchery. For a touch of nature, visit Acadia National Park, New England’s only national park; it offers 6000 acres of mountains, rugged coastline, islands, forests and lakes where you can hike, bike, canoe, fish, and explore this Park’s trails. For an alternative, rent a bicycle and explore the area as the locals do. Peddle alongside crystal-water lakes and rose-coloured mountains. For a different view, take a bus or trolley tour and hear about the local history from well-versed local guides. Or, take an insightful and entertaining walking tour of downtown. If you rather explore Maine from the waterside, paddle a canoe or kayak either on your own or in the company of a well-experienced guide. Accommodations in a standard room Wonderview Inn & Suites or similar
Day 6: Bar Harbor – White Mountains, NH
Leave Bar Harbor behind and continue on your journey through coastal Maine to Jackson. Today take a drive to the White Mountains National Forest. Better known as the Whites, in central New Hampshire, this is one of America’s most popular public lands. The White Mountains rise in dramatic relief to the north of New Hampshire’s central plateau. Take a train ride through this scenic area; choose one of the Valley routes to Conway or Bartlett, or the legendary Crawford Notch excursion. Experience the excitement of rail travel in the comfort of open or enclosed restored passenger cars. Accommodations in a standard room Merril Farm Resort or similar

As you leave the Jackson this morning, through the White Mountains, visit Franconia Notch State Park located in the heart of the White Mountain Region. A passenger cable car brings you to the top of Cannon Mountain in less than ten minutes. On a clear day, you can see as far as the mountains of Canada. At the arrival point, you will find spectacularly scenic walking paths and a 360-degree observation deck. You can also visit Mount Washington, the highest Mountain peak in the Northeast, during this day. Continue to the Stowe area in Vermont for an overnight stay. Accommodations in a standard room Best Western Plus Waterbury Stowe or similar
Day 8: Stowe – Mosse Glenn Falls – the Green Mountains, VT
Leave the Stowe area and drive toward the Green Mountains. On your way, you will pass ‘Moss Glen Falls’. The Moss Glen Falls of Granville is a roadside attraction featured in just about every photographic portrait of Vermont ever published. You can enjoy a horseback ride through a gorgeous trail with thin streams of water that choose their own paths. The best viewpoint is along the boardwalk. You can also visit the Smugglers’ Notch State Park in the Green Mountains. This state park is great for hiking and offers several short, medium and long trails throughout the park varying in grades of difficulty from easy to challenging. An overnight stay has been arranged in the Green Mountains area. Accommodations in a standard room Holiday Inn Rutland/Killington or similar
Day 9: Green Mountains – The Berkshires, MA
Today the tour continues toward The Berkshires in Massachusetts. The Berkshires are a beautiful place to visit any time of year. Enjoy the peaceful waters of Narragansett Bay aboard the Newport Dinner Train. This classic red train’s 22-mile journey will send you back in time when dining aboard a luxury train was a statement of elegance and privilege. Dine by candlelight on these restored vintage rail cars with red velvet curtains, white tablecloths, crystal, and fine china and silver. Or, visit Bannister’s Wharf, what used to be the centre of Newport’s commercial seaport in the colonial days, is now the hub of Newport’s harbour-side shopping and dining. Here you can find eclectic boutiques and numerous restaurants from sophisticated and casual. Accommodations in a standard room Holiday Inn Express Middletown or similar
Day 11: Newport – Hyannis – Cape Cod/Marta’s Vineyard, MA
Depart Newport and drive toward Cape Cod. People come to Cape Cod to feel inspired, to walk the pristine beaches, to revel in the arts and culture, to reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles and saltwater taffy, to indulge in the freshest fried clams, play 18 holes on the lush fairways, and savour the breathtaking scenic beauty. Famous in Cape Cod is the great Outer Beach described by Thoreau in the 1800s. It is comprised of forty miles of pristine sandy beach, marshes, ponds, and uplands that support diverse species. Both islands are full of charm and typical New England atmosphere. The best way to see the prettiest spots on the islands are on foot, bicycle or a combination of the two. Go horseback riding on the beach at sunset. Look for sunken ships and lost schooners on a scuba excursion or ride the surf on a boogie board. Accommodations in a standard room Shoreway Acres Inn or similar
Day 13: Cape Cod – Plymouth – Boston International Airport, MA

Housed at this park are Plymouth Rock, symbolizing the location where the Pilgrims disembarked from the Mayflower when they first landed on what was to become American soil; and the Mayflower II, a replica of the ship that first brought settlers to New England.
