Great news for my Welsh customers! 🙌🏼

All fully-vaccinated travellers arriving in Wales from overseas will be able to take a lateral flow test (LFT) instead of a PCR test, Wales’ Health Minister has confirmed.

The changes, which also apply to the majority of under-18s, will come into force from Sunday, October 31.

It comes after the UK Government confirmed the scrapping of day two PCR Covid tests for returning overseas travellers, which will come into force for overseas travellers arriving in England from October 24.

A major relaxing of travel rules for people coming in and out of England have been announced by the transport secretary.

From 4 October, the current traffic light system of red, amber and green countries will be scrapped and replaced with one red list only.

Anywhere not on the red list is considered green and clear for travel - there will no longer be an amber list.

Also from that date, travellers will no longer need to take pre-departure tests for travelling into England from abroad.

Then, from the end of October, fully vaccinated passengers from non-red list countries will be able to replace day-two PCR tests with cheaper lateral flow tests.

Furthermore, from 4am on 22 September, eight countries will be moved off of the government's red list. These are: Turkey, Pakistan, The Maldives, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Oman and Bangladesh.
