⚠️ The Met Office have issued an Amber Weather Warning for Extreme Heat for Sun 17 July 🔺 and a Red Warning for Mon and Tue, with temperatures forecast as high as 40°C in some places. Please exercise great caution if heading out, check local forecasts and do not be afraid to change or even cancel plans altogether.
If heading out, take plenty of fluids (min 2 litres each), sun hat, sun block and light loose clothing. Avoid the midday sun and take plenty of breaks in the shade. Keep an eye on all members of your party for signs of succumbing to the heat. Know what to do if someone if suffering from Heat Exhaustion, and the warning signs of the much more serious condition, Heat Stroke, which requires you to call 999 for immediate medical help.
