Iceland 21 - 25 November 2024 🇮🇸

I put together a tailor made trip to Iceland for some clients who travelled last weekend. They kindly shared some photos with me along with some lovely feedback. Even though a new volcanic eruption began the day before they travelled in the Reykjanes peninsula region (the 7th this year!), their experience still ran like clock work as I only work with the very best suppliers….experts on the ground, ready with plans B,C & D should Mother Nature have her own plans! 🌋
I also don’t do tourism for the masses, everything is bespoke for my clients.

THE INN AT ENGLISH HARBOUR, ANTIGUA Following my recent stay 15-17 Oct’ 24, this resort has sky rocketed to one of my favourite Caribbean hotels! It’s an absolute dream and here’s why.

The Location!
Situated in English Harbour, across the bay from UNESCO World Heritage Site Nelson’s Dockyard. This area is unbelievably beautiful. The resort has its own private dock, boat and Captain who will sail you over to the dockyard whenever you fancy!

That beach!
Honestly one of the prettiest beaches I have seen in The Caribbean. The waters are crystal clear and so calm being in a very sheltered bay. The beach is palm tree lined, with powdery white sand and never crowded.

The pool!
As you can see in the video, it is gorgeous and situated smack bang next to the sandy beach. The furniture including floating beds are super comfy and plentiful.

It’s boutique!
There are only 29 rooms and suites and the resort welcomes children aged 10+. You can really loose yourself here, it’s so tranquil.

Although it’s offered, there’s no need to go All Inclusive as there are so many wonderful restaurants in this area. I was lucky to explore Antiguas local dining options during my stay and the food is exceptional generally! Such a great variety of fish, seafood, steaks and colourful salad dishes. If you are a foodie, Antigua will not disappoint!

GALLEY BAY, ANTIGUA 🇦🇬

I absolutely adore this resort!
I spent 3 nights here 10-13th Oct’ 24.

Galley Bay is for adults only, and has a superb all inclusive offering. It’s a romantic resort with a stunning beach. The sea is turquoise and the sand is powdery soft. If you love to walk along the seaside, you’ll be happy here!

Another stand out feature for me is the jungle feel of the resort. The gardens are lush and the meandering pathways taking you from the main areas to the rooms are beautiful. Galley Bay is a very pretty resort.

There are 98 accommodations, all low rise. Many have direct beach access, and the views are incredible! They are traditionally Caribbean in their style, and there are some gorgeous quirky cottages with private plunge pools.

There are 3 restaurants and I thought the food was exceptional and so fresh. They all have a beach front location. Having breakfast right by the waves was a highlight for me. The cocktails here are delicious too.

Winter travel is on the rise and one of my most sought-after destinations right now is Norway 🇳🇴
I’ve just pushed the book button on another fabulous tailor-made winter snow itinerary for January next year.

If it’s the Northern Lights you are after, Tromso is a good bet. It’s one of the northernmost cities in the world. It’s also very convenient to reach with direct flights from London.

From Tromso I can organise snow mobile tours, reindeer excursions, husky sledding, ice fishing…. there’s a ton of snow experiences available. Whale & Arctic Wildlife cruises are also a fantastic way to take in the dramatic coastal scenery.

Tromso does however get extremely busy with tourists in the peak winter months, so I like to build in a few nights at a more remote location to really maximise the chances of seeing the world’s most epic light show, away from the bright city lights.

Camp Tamok and its Aurora Dome glamping, in the Northen Lights heartland is located 1.5hrs outside of Tromso amongst lofty mountains and arctic wilderness. The climate zone is different here with clear inland mountain weather.

When I put together my Norway itineraries, my aim is to pack in as many snowy activities as possible but without you ever feeling hurried. I also include all the transfers and hotels/aurora domes that are right for you.

DIJON, FRANCE 🇫🇷

I absolutely loved visiting Dijon this summer! We only had 1 night and 2 days but wanted longer…. It’s a gem of a place to discover.

Dijon is one of the most beautiful historical towns in France with remarkable architecture. The city centre has a medieval vibe, but also Romanesque & Gothic at the same time. It is packed full of key sights like
The Palace Of The Dukes…. Wow! It’s stunning and a beautiful backdrop while you have your morning Pan Au Chocolat and coffee. To top it all, Dijon is packed full of dynamic bars and restaurants within its cobbled streets.

I stopped at Dijon en route to Lake Annecy but it would also work well as a standalone city break for a long weekend too. Our hotel was a stunner! Such a find, more on that to follow.

FRANCE ROAD TRIP AUG 24
Calais - Dijon - Lake Annecy

I’ve been wanting to visit Lake Annecy in the French Alps for a while now. I was craving lakes & mountains and Annecy did not disappoint! WOW

We decided to drive to allow us to take in the incredible mountain scenery and it was a great decision. LeShuttle makes driving to France so easy.

En route to Annecy we had a couple of days in Dijon which we absolutely loved too. Dijon, the capital of France’s historical Burgundy region is known for traditional mustard, vineyard tours & stunning architecture ranging from gothic to art deco. The Palace of The Dukes is incredible. Dijon is one of the prettiest cities I’ve visited and well worth a visit.

Annecy is a pretty alpine town in SE France, and we based ourselves on the lake itself. The old town has a medieval vibe and is filled with cobbled streets, winding canals and pastel-coloured houses.

Lake Annecy is the purest in Europe, it’s like swimming in Evian mineral water! We spent our days cycling around it on dedicated cycle paths, sailing out on pedalos for hours, hiking in the mountains and sampling as many of the fabulous little mountainside villages and restaurants as we could.

We are desperate to return! Lake Annecy, you are beautiful.

You could fly instead of drive, as Geneva airport is only an hour away from Annecy. A lovely Annecy & Switzerland multi-centre would work beautifully…. I am very tempted to plan this for myself! 🇫🇷🇨🇭

The ‘We’ve arrived in paradise’ pic ✨

This is by far my favourite moment when my clients book their travel with me.

A lot of hard work has happened (on my part!) for this moment to happen….

I research, recommend, tweak, perfect, book, monitor and treat all of my clients bookings like they are my own.
Post booking niggles? - I’m on it! There is so much room for potential stress when you book travel. I can hand on heart say that I really do care more than anyone else. You would be amazed at what goes on behind the scenes to ensure that your holiday runs seamlessly.

Friday’s brunch & learn @ Brightons’s Ivy In The Lanes, hosted by Dimitris from The Elounda Bay Palace & Elounda Beach, two stunning resorts in Elounda, Crete (North East of the island)

These hotels sit on a gorgeous sandy beach surrounded by lush gardens. They are ideal if you love to be able to walk to nearby Elounda with its vast selection of incredible dining options. They have rooms and villas (with private pools) and are multi award winning resorts (see pics).

Sharing a Garden Verandah suite (as pictured) on All-Inclusive, flying from London with Virgin Atlantic between now and 31st Oct 2024.

I loved my stay here! The hotel sits on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, with powdery white sand and turquoise crystal clear waters…. Exactly as pictured. I stayed in this room type and loved its jungly feel in the hotels lush gardens.
