Why Visit Wales?

Well... becauce Traction: 17-19 May 2024 is being held there of course 😆 Not only that, but you may not be aware that other top motorcycle manufactures. Such as KTM and BMW have established their training schools in the region.

Sennybridge has also played host to the WRC. And its rumoured Llyn Brianne ranked as one of Colin McRae's favourite roads in the UK. Both of the above locations feature on Jack's guided road ride on Saturday.

Not only is there a host of great driving roads on the doorstep. But also a wealth of off-road trails within a few KM of the Hotel. Slightly further away, you'll find other popular trails such as Water-Breaks-Its-Neck and the notorious Strata Florida. For touring bikers, you'll also find popular road routes such as Elan Valley to Aberystwyth and Black Mountain Passes slightly further afield. What more could you ask for from a biking weekend?

D2D is a new type of event for Scotland being run by the Bon Accord club of Aberdeen with the aim of getting people into a bit of legal off road riding. The itinerary for the day of the event will see riders leave our base at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford to head north for up to four off road sections before returning to the museum for a lunch stop. After lunch the riders will head south for up to another four off road sections before ending their day back at the museum. D2D is NOT a speed event but it is a competitive event and will be decided on marks lost in the special tests. Each off road section will have it's own, different test marked by an observer. At the end of the day the rider with the lowest amount of marks lost will be our winner
