You may have seen this in the press and unfortunately this is what happens when you book cheap holidays that are not through an ABTA/ATOL protected travel agent.

Love Holidays customers are being asked to pay for unpaid hotel bills whilst on holiday, even though they have paid their holidays in FULL 😳

Companies such as Love Holidays & On The Beach are not members of ABTA and OUTSOURCE all elements of your holiday - and unfortunately this can happen

Always try, where possible, to use an ABTA/ATOL protected company or travel agent to avoid any unnecessary upset.

PLEASE READ - THE IMPORTANCE OF ABTA/ATOL HOLIDAY COVER EXPLAINED

Is my online cheap holiday deal covered ?

So sad with the news of Flybe that has ceased trading.

Of course firstly thoughts must go to their staff across the U.K..

I really hope other airlines snap them up in new jobs for them.

And of course all the passengers who may be stranded right now

I just wanted to stress about being ATOL protected again as you may not understand when booking your own holiday how important this is ..

There are a lot of well known companies who are not ATOL or ABTA protected which has massive financial implications for you should anything go wrong

If you are booking your OWN travel online and choosing a flight from one supplier, a hotel from someone else, transfers from another supplier the chances are you will NOT be ATOL protected as this doesn’t constitute as a package holiday

This means should an airline go bust the government do NOT have to get you home.

As an Independent Travel Agent it takes hours and hours / days and days of training to understand these regulations and you have to show your knowledge of understanding by passing exams which I have done.

All suppliers I use are FULLY ATOL and ABTA protected ✅ so you can be safe in the knowledge should the worst happen, if you have your holiday booked through myself you will be able to get home which is the most important thing.

A lot of people are always searching for the “cheap deal” and I totally get that but please ensure that cheap deal is able to get you home and they are fully protected

I will never be “bargain basement holidays” sorry that’s just not me and nor would I want to be!

I want to provide clients with a service (which by the way is free to you!) that lasts until they land back home and doesn’t just end when the holiday is booked!

I am competitive and and hold my own against “the big boys” plus I will always try to price match or beat a quote when needs be I will do my best to do this and more often than not find a way to do this ☺️
