Opened on this day in 1935, the Jubilee Pool sits perfectly along the Penzance promenade in Cornwall. The biggest and most celebrated art deco lido in the UK. 🇬🇧

🌊 Main pool temperature typically 1-2 degrees higher than the surrounding sea, swimmers emerge feeling refreshed and invigorated. Depths 0.9 - 2.25m

🌊 Geothermal pool is the first of its kind in the UK. The salt water is heated to a comfortable 28-30 degrees via a geothermal well, offering a unique outdoor swim experience.

FREE guided walking tour of Penzance Town 19th May 10am . We meet outside Penzance train station to walk leisurely along the former harbour, now the car park past buildings more than 400 years old towards St.Antony's Garden the place that gives the town it's name. Finally up Chapel Street towards the old market house.
No booking required, but if in doubt give a shout.

Sunday, 12th May FREE guided walking tour of Penzance Town. We meet at the big planter outside the train station at 10 am. Strolling along the harbour car park, if the tide is right seeing the swimmers in Abbey Basin. Walking past our busy harbour to St. Antony's Garden. Further along up Chapel Street to say hi to Humphry. No booking required, but if in doubt give a shout.

Photos from our walk around Burncoose Gardens yesterday, a 30 acre woodland garden just off the A393 between the two villages of Lanner and Ponsanooth. The camellias, rhododendrons and magnolias were out in full bloom, leaving a carpet of petals and blossoms along the pathways..
