Sick of not knowing where your Arriva bus actually is? Well, the Tyne Travel app has had a bit of a reboot lately where we've redesigned the app to work with the current bus locations of the North East Arriva services.

The app is in its infancy right now and will expand over time to add timetables and reintroduce the traffic alerts but for now, if you're looking to see exactly where that bus actually is then give the app a go on your iPhone or iPad.

We've recently been receiving a few messages from people who are asking about holidays in the sun... unfortunately, we're unable to offer anything other than, hopefully, a traffic-jam-free trip to the airport.

We think possibly that another business has opened up with the same cool name as us, and who might be able to help you with a summer getaway but it's not something we can help with at this time.

Tyne Travel will tailor travel news and traffic updates from around the North East to your frequently used routes and journeys.

You can setup any number of WatchSpots on the road network, which can be powered by a specific GPS location or via number of keywords to help determine if the update if relevant to you.

If it is, then the update will be extracted and presented to you with further details and a traffic enabled map for a more detailed overview.
