Quarry cottage is a former miners cottage situated in the pretty hamlet of Burtersett in Wenslydale and just 1 mile from the market town of Hawes.

The cottage is one of a small number of historic 'quarry men's' cottages which has been beautifully renovated whilst retaining a true cosy cottage feel. The cottage provides a lovely home for couple(s) or small families. The main features are a romantic four poster bed in the main bedroom, cosy log burner in the living area, delightful kitchen with exceptional cooking facilities provided. The spar

e room provides a single bed with a host bed underneath. There is ample on-street parking available within a few yards of the cottage. There are many spectacular views from this stunning hillside location overlooking the magnificent Wether Fell, Stag Fell and Semer water close by. Also Great Shunner Fell, the Pennine Way and the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks are also within close proximity. Walks from the door are in abundance with many walking maps and guides provided for reference. The local area has also obtained a dark sky reserve status...occasionally the Northern lights can be seen! So if walking, cycling, star gazing or a simple rest and relaxation holiday is what you are seeking, then this is the ideal location. Park the car and enjoy this truly wonderful location within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Please note is is only a 2minute drive or 15 min walk to the historic market town of Hawes which has a good range of shops including groceries, outdoor clothing, antiques, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and much more. Have one of the famous gallery double ice creams...

Quarry Cottage is in a central location for visiting other areas of the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors, the Pennines and less than an hour to the Lake District.

Hardraw Force…Englands largest single drop waterfall. Located at the famous Green Dragon Inn near Hawes. It was very impressive after recent heavy rainfall.
