In love with the peacock colours in the third bedroom at No3 🦚

The peacock pillow was picked up recently from a local farm shop for just a fiver in their sale, and it’s made locally too. It really brings the room together!

Definitely one of my favourite bedrooms 🦚

We also provide bowls, poo bags, address tags, toys, towels, throws and a warm outside tap for our canine friends 😊

Rather good little review on Cirencester for visitors-

This pretty town is home to one of the best rated tearooms in Cotswolds - and was surprisingly affordable given its prestigious title.

“10/10 recommend this listing. The house is immaculate with a welcoming homely vibe without feeling like you’re in someone’s house. What a wonderful stay. Completely faultless. The bedding was so comfortable, I struggled to leave. Thank you again for your generous and warming stay. It was just what we needed.”

The same guest also let us know that the corkscrew didn’t work- well we can’t have that!! New one ordered straight away. We care about the little things as much as the big things 🫶

A simple touch of Christmas on the doors, along with a well lit welcome- no-one wants to arrive at a strange house and not be able to find the keys- not least because it’s dark by 4pm at the moment!

After a few issues with the shower in the en-suite bathroom at No3, we got our trusty builders over to take a look. We now have a new shower, floor and toilet up there, and it looks amazing! Better yet, there’s no water leaking anywhere anymore 🥳

In our effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible, we have ditched the classic washing up sponges and are trialing these plastic-free scourers from Seep!

They can be refreshed by sticking them in the dishwasher and are home compostable when their time is up.

Big thank you to G P Rowe decorating services based in Filton, Bristol, for coming all the way out to Cirencester Holiday Lets earlier this year to get No 3 looking sparkly and welcoming - Gary did a top job, coping with our demands for nearly 20 different colours throughout the house, including the odd change of mind and even photo-wallpaper!

Today we have been busy at both No3 and No4 - first we got our map of Cirencester back from Wallspace in town, who did an excellent job with a nice green mount and black frame.

Next up was the cupboard at 3, early feedback had asked for some coat hooks so we put a nice set up, replacing some old picture hooks.

A couple touch ups and it was over to No4 where we added two coats of Ronseal UK & Ireland dark oak matt varnish on the dining room table which dried quickly and did exactly what it said on the tin...

Then it was touching up the kitchen ceiling, around a new window installed in the back porch, and finally getting rid of all the rub marks from baggage being lifted up the stairs.

Guests due in tomorrow at 4 so works will pause until Saturday when it will become Mission: Bannisters - which need sanding right down, sealing, and coating with Farrow & Ball's finest gloss.

With No3 now up and running we're onto the next mission - a Spring clean at No4 - tables sanded back to remove water stains and pen marks, trunking at the front door renewed, Carbon Monoxide alarm remounted, new emergency torches with nightlights fitted, and a screw cap on a light switch replaced... it's all in the details!

Back on it tomorrow with rugs, bannisters to sand and repaint, and a further lick of paint for the front bedroom and kitchen ceiling... hopefully we'll be done before No3 needs another refurb!

We've spent the last six months refurbishing No 3 and we reckon the star of the show is the reading room - which opens straight out through double french doors to the garden. Equiped with comfortable recliner and bean bags, it's the perfect place to settle down into a good book!

The full height book case is packed with all sorts from reference to fiction and beyond, while there are plentiful board games in the dresser. There are also over 300 DVDs which can keep the others entertained in the next door sitting room with a 50inch TV. For summer we have retractable blinds to keep it cool, while for winter months there is a blow heater.

When we were designing the new interior for No 3 we were most excited by the master bedroom - it is secluded on the second floor from the rest of the house and provides a perfect quiet space with views over the neighbouring streets. With luxury The White Company linen, the sumptious bed envelopes you, while the Power Shower and oversized combi boiler ensures an everlasting blast of hot water whenever desired. Each bedside has USB charging too and there is plentiful storage for holiday clothes.

We can't wait for the British Summer to arrive - No3 has been freshly landscaped to provide the perfect retreat for all the family - including the dogs - to chill out and relax. The south-facing garden has seating for six, a top of the line gas BBQ,, outdoor power, garden games for the kids, and secure garden gate, along with night time lighting.

Owning an EV is great - we use one for managing the holiday lets - but range is always an issue for longer journeys. We have installed a myenergi Zappi for guests to use so you don't have to worry about finding a charging point in a new town. Delivering at least 7KW, it is quick and easy to use - much cheaper than paying for service station charges too! Just let us know after booking and we can make it available for a small additional charge, we can even supply a cable if needed.
