Peppermill Cottage and Whitehills

A simple terraced cottage built around 1910 that has been extended and opened up to create a fresh, comfortable space to relax and enjoy the calming atmosphere of the quaint wee village of Whitehills.
You'll get a friendly wave from the locals on their way to the shop or popping into the Seafield Arms for a cheeky pint and a spot of lunch. Treat yourself to a meal here, you won't regret it !

Pop into the old Methodist Chapel and admire the fascinating artistry of Watergaw cermics, especially Fiona's spectacular lustre ware. The very popular lustre street numbers make a great souvenir for you to take a wee bit of Whitehills home.

If you like a good walk theres miles of stunning coastline with an excellent path, past the marina, all the way to Banff, starting just a couple of minutes from the gate. You can look in at the fish merchants shop and get a nice bit of cod or whatever the catch if the day is, often something very interesting.
In the westerly direction theres the tranquillity of rugged and usually deserted beaches to explore.
You can also head out on a path through the fields ( see photo) towards Boyndie visitor centre where you'll get a cup of tea and a look at the gifts and plants on offer.
