FREE HERGEST RIDGE EVENING WALK: Friday 21st April 2023.

As part of the Kington Spring Walking Festival we will be putting on an extra led walk. Start: The Place de Marines, 18.30pm.
Distance: 5 miles. Booking is not required. Sorry no dogs except registered assistance dogs. Under 18s welcome but should be accompanied by an adult. 'To carry a coffin' don't panic you don't have to carry one, although there is a very interesting story associated with this historic route! This is walk 4 of 5 choices available on Monday 19th June. Start time 11.00am. 5.5 miles.
Following the picturesque North Herefordshire trail from Orleton Church to Eye Church, returning to Orleton via a different route.

Starting at Eardisland War Memorial. Follow lanes and fields north over to Shobdon and uphill to Mortimer’s Trail east – drop down to Aymestrey for lunch break: continue through woodlands and fields following the River Lugg via Mortimer’s Cross to Kingsland, then continue (some on road) to Shirl Heath and finally back to Eardisland.

Court House is an ideal location for anyone wishing to participate in Kington’s Spring Walking Festival from 21st to 23rd April.
