Between the 1st of May and 30th of September, there are restrictions on which beaches dogs can use.

During this time, dogs can still use the following beaches:
🐕‍🦺Churston Cove
🐕‍🦺Fishcombe Cove
🐕‍🦺Elberry Cove
🐕‍🦺Shoalstone Beach
🐕‍🦺St Mary's Bay

The restrictions apply to Breakwater Beach and the poolside at Shoalstone Pool.

There are many stunning coastal walks around Torbay, today we headed from Brixham harbour to Berry Head Nature Reserve. It is such a fantastic time to visit Torbay - the sun is shining, flora is in full bloom and our wonderful local hospitality is ready to welcome you!

1. Collect Your Sample: Safely gather your own water sample from the sea and rockpools with our friendly guides.
2. Create a Microscope Slide: Help us prepare a slide using your sample for a closer look under the microscope.
3. Explore Plankton Life: Together, we'll search for live microscopic plankton and view them on the laptop right on the beach!
4. Share Your Discovery: Take a photo of your plankton, give it a fun name, and share it on social media with and . Show it off to your teacher and friends when you get back to school!

We took a walk up on Berry Head Nature Reserve and were blown away by the beauty of the wildflowers that are in full bloom 🪻🌼🌸

This stunning headland, with it's iconic lighthouse and Napoleonic Fort, is surrounded by water on three sides and offers exceptional views across Torbay and beyond. I personally find it one of the most uplifting places to be and can waste many an hour here...and no walk is complete without coffee and a delicious brunch at Guardhouse Café which serves amazing local and homemade food 😋

We are lucky enough to manage a selection of holiday properties at Landscove Holiday Park, which sits proudly just off the South West Coast Path on this beautiful headland, with easy access to Berry Head.

We are so happy to report that the water supply to most of Brixham, has now been given the all clear. Some of our holiday lets were located in an area that was issued with a Boil Water notice but after further, rigorous testing, it has been confirmed that these areas were not affected.

We hope our lovely guests will feel safe to come and stay without concern. We have had a quiet start to the year with the awful weather in the UK, but the sun is shining in Devon and we have plenty of availability so why not grab a last-minute getaway and relax in some Devonshire sunshine ☀
