Cockington Forge, Torquay over the centuries.

The building on the left was constructed in the 14th century. Despite its age it is remarkably durable, having survived the test of time with only a few brick and cement fillings to bolster it up. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Whilst we pause to remembering D day, 80 years ago today, don’t forget those that enabled it, be it intelligence decoders at Bletchley Park, the SOE, the French resistance, and even the humble wether station recorder from Blacksod in Ireland, without that accurate forecast the invasion would likely have been a disaster, the allies may never have recovered from.

RIP to all the departed whatever part you played, and those few still here…Thank you❤️‍🩹

1 week until our Summer Market in the Scala, Brixham Town Hall. The market will be packed full of stalls selling a variety items, such as plants, jewellery, crafts, gifts and much more!

Doors will be open from 10am until 3pm and entry is FREE!
