Fran and Jane from Purbeck Safari will be at the Wareham Nature and Wildlife Fair (26th April 10-12 at Wareham Town Hall) to share information about their Off-Road, Land Rover tours across the Isle of Purbeck which enable parties of 2-6 people to experience the landscape, wildlife and history of this amazing place.

Spring is on the way!!

It’s been so wet so far this winter we’ve avoided the trails in Purbeck. But winter can be a great time for spotting wildlife and we took a trip down to the shoreline at Hamworthy to catch a sighting of a snow bunting that had been seen in the area for several days 🪶It’s a scarce visitor this far south so a real treat to see so close up!

We’ve got some fantastic new routes which we’ll be announcing in the Spring, so keep an eye on our website for news of these in the next few weeks 🌤️

A fantastic morning crossing Slepe Heath on the way down to Middlebere this morning.

Highlights were a beautiful White Tailed Eagle only a hundred feet above us and a Kingfisher on the edge of the Middlebere channel. Also plenty of Dartford Warblers among the gorse.
