Foodie Heaven ~ Part 2 📍Le Barachois at Le Prince Maurice, Mauritius 🌴At such a stunning venue like Le Prince Mauritius, it comes as no surprise that Le Barachois, it’s premium restaurant, is simply magnificent. Chef Michael Scioli blends Asian and French cuisines with his inventive menu, all set within an elegant environment. 🫶Of three hotel restaurants and three bars, Le Barachois floating seafood restaurant and bar is the only over-water dining option on the island. Reached by a lantern-lit boardwalk through the mangroves, it's a perfect spot for a sundowner overlooking the mountains. 🍽️Other culinary experiences include tastings in the extensive wine cellar, with capacity for 25,000 world wines and private candlelit dining in a marquee on the beach. Every March the hotel co-hosts the Bernard Loiseau Culinary Festival which attracts Michelin star chefs from all over the world. ⛳️The Legend Course is the jewel in Belle Mare Plage's golfing crown. The Masters may have come to an end and the golfing blues are setting in fast but there is still plenty of golf to be played in and around Georgia as Augusta gives us major course envy as out of reach for most of us (have high hopes for some of my followers 😘) However some beautiful alternatives are available for us more humble of players: ⛳Champions Retreat Golf Club - Only one club is home to courses designed by the legendary trio of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player: a historic collaboration that makes Champions Retreat a truly one-of-a-kind golf experience. However, usually only available to members, The Masters week is the only time they are open to the public—and your chance to enjoy exclusive golf, dining and entertainment during the game’s greatest week. ⛳Forest Hills Golf Club - Home of the two-time men's national champion Augusta State University golf team. More significantly, perhaps though, is that it was originally designed by Donald Ross (1926) and renovated by Arnold Palmer in 2004, so it's a real gem. It's also less than than five miles from Augusta National. ⛳Aiken Golf Club - Going back to 1912, and claims to be the first course in America to feature "ladies tees." Although it's relatively short (par 70, 6,048), Aiken GC, which hosts the city amateur, is anything but easy. And it's fun to manage your game around the quirky doglegs and bunkering. ⛳The River Golf Club - This semi-private club is set along the banks of the Savannah River, The Club has established itself as one of the best course designs in the Southeast since it’s opening in 1998. The River Golf Club course combines a fantastic layout with a spectacular setting to create a golfers’ paradise.
