Summer Vibes
So far this year there hasn’t been many hot summer days on the beach, but there has been the odd one. The local area has some incredible wee gems tucked away. Deserted white sands and amazing scenery to savour.

Wow wow wow!!! HUGE NEWS! We've hit our target of £30,000. 🥳 We've said it before, but we'll say it again, we are truly blown away by everybody's incredible generosity and support for our new Reindeer Centre. 🙏 We're so excited about making our new Paddocks and Exhibition the best experience possible.

We still have a few days left to run on the Crowdfunder project! It runs out at 10am this Saturday. If anybody wishes to keep pledging we still have LOTS more ideas for the new Centre. With money raised above our initial target, we'd like to build new homes for our elves, and a cosy bothy for Santa to come to visit. 🎅 We'd also like to put the focus on the unique wildlife in this special area, planting native trees and flowers for pollinators, providing feeding stations & nest boxes and raising awareness through cool info boards. 🌳🐦 Adding more interactive exhibits that everyone of all abilities can enjoy along with sheltered areas for both humans and reindeer to hide from any rainy weather.

Cycle Argyll
Cameron had a last minute run out to Tiree in aid of a charity cycle. Four local lads completed 460 miles in 6 days! They visited every Lodge in Argyll, a huge logistical challenge but the route was in place. Straight away they had a wee stumbling block when the Tiree ferry was a non starter that day. Once Cameron finished the tourist trips they cruised out to the windy isle. It was for 3 Charites, ABC, Oxygen Scotland and MND Scotland, over £25,000 raised! Well done boys. Thanks for the support from Gary MacDonald too.

PROJECT UPDATE 🏰💧

Viltra is proud to have been appointed to deliver a new wastewater treatment system for Dunstaffnage Castle, one of Scotland's oldest stone castles.

Dunstaffnage Castle is situated on top of an immense rock overlooking the Firth of Lorn near Oban, Argyll and Bute.

Built around 1220 by Duncan MacDougall, the son of Earl Somerled, known also as the ‘King of the Isles.’ The castle was built at the height of the battle between Scotland and Norway over the control of the Hebrides.

The project will see Viltra design and install a brand-new wastewater treatment plant to replace an existing septic tank, as well as associated works.

This is another project that fits directly into Viltra’s skill set and values, it also aligns with decades of experience in providing bespoke solutions, customised to the client and contextual needs, within the tourism, hospitality and conservation sector across Ireland and the UK.
