Studio 18 brings its premier night ‘The Art of Breaks’ and is very proud to showcase very special star guests Ragga Twins and Nicky Blackmarket alongside the audacious DJ Millz, Marlaceous, and massive warm up lyrics from Stroud’s one and only Rudi. A celebration of breaks with DnB Masters alongside an exhibition by who Studio 18 considers to be one of the finest stencil artists around, Luke Agnew. It promises to be possibly the studio's most epic night so far and in typical fashion, an explosive collaboration of Music and Art providing visual mayhem with the rawest of beats, all powered by a specially tailored system from Majestic Vision Soundsystem. 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 👻

Families are invited to search for friendly ghosts along the Stroudwater Canal on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September.

Following the success of last year’s Ghost Hunters event, Cotswold Canals Connected has invited even more ghosts to entertain families with their fascinating tales from the past.

Participants will meet at St Cyr’s Church in Stonehouse to collect a map then walk with a group along the towpath towards Ryeford, stopping at points along the way where they will meet local actors to learn about the characters who lived alongside the canal when it was a working waterway.

Ghost Hunters walks take place at various times over the weekend. Tickets are free-of-charge but must be booked in advance - there's a link in the comments below 👇

Sophie Wakefield, Cotswold Canals Connected Events Manager said: “Ghost Hunters is a fabulous way of bringing history to life. As a project funded by the The National Lottery Heritage Fund, it's crucial for us to engage young audiences with their local history and heritage – and this event is the perfect way to do that.

“We’ve partnered with local actors from Flies on the Wall Youth Theatre and Stroudwater Navigation Archive Charity who will bring these intriguing stories from the past to a new audience.”

The canal towpath is a wide flat surface, of good terrain and suitable for guests with buggies, mobility issues or disabilities, so everyone can join in the fun. If you have any questions or need to discuss specific needs please contact [email protected].

This year Ghost Hunters is part of the Stonehouse Walking Festival GL10 and Heritage Open Days, an annual celebration of England's rich history and culture.

Cotswold Canals Connected is a partnership of organisations led by Stroud District Council and the The Cotswold Canals Trust which are restoring the canal network, enhancing and creating new wildlife habitats, and helping local communities to connect with heritage and nature.

Wick-Flix returns in September in Friday 13th with The Fall Guy...
..starring Ryan Gosling, a stuntman, returning to filming after an almost career-ending accident in the hope of winning the love back of his ex-wife played by Emily Blunt, and director of the said film. Action, comedy, drama and romance - who could ask for anything more!

Remember to come and join us on Friday 6 September for an evening of great local wine and food in the vineyard. Here are some details:

Where: Road Green Vineyard, North Nibley, GL11 6BA When: From 5pm until the sun goes down!
What: We will be selling our Road Green wine by the glass or bottle. We will also be joined by who will be selling their rosè. Alongside the wine we have two delicious food offerings - pizza from Red Kite Pizza or something from the Poppy & Boo grill!

Other Info:
Parking: Will be in the field next to the vineyard
Seating: There will be some seating around the vineyard, but also feel free to bring a camping chair and choose a spot.
Kids: lots of people have asked whether it is family friendly … a massive yes!! Bring everyone along.

We have put in an order for some sunshine to return 🤞🤞! But also have some cheeky marquees ready just in case
