Only in Tenerife...
Numerous members of the public along with other road users reported to officials on Sunday that they had witnessed a woman riding her moped around Santa Cruz with her helmet on backwards.

The woman was using a rented moped, the mopeds have become popular recently in the Tenerife’s capital due to their easy to use policy. Once you have finished with the moped you can park it up wherever and then an employee from the company will pass by to collect it, making the rental of the moped very convenient around the city centre.

It was thought by many that the woman wasn’t aware of her actions or aware that she could have caused herself serious harm if she was involved in a traffic accident.

The new office will open on Monday 18th November 2019 in the Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, which is within walking distance of the Thomas Cook offices. The new team in Peterborough will comprise reservations, aftersales and product staff from the Scheduled Long Haul Team previously known as Thomas Cook Signature. Many members of the new team are currently working alongside the CAA supporting operation Matterhorn and the fulfilment of bookings and refunds.

Major Travel will grow its product offering under the new umbrella title Signature Long Haul, which pays tribute to both of the former names of the long haul team. A new Signature Long Haul website (www.signaturelonghaul.co.uk) as well as micro sites for the portfolio of Signature brands will follow in due course. The new Major Signature Long Haul team have a combined experience of over 300 years in designing complex tailor made itineraries. A key focus of the new team will be to help agents create itineraries that other tour operators deem too complex to facilitate.

Please don't fall victim to this if you get such a call, refunds need to be claimed through the ATOL scheme, credit card company or bank/card issuer.
